Most everything was great. My husband had the aged NY strip which was a bit dry. I had the ribeye which was perfect & juicy. I started with the steak tartar. It was quite flavorful. The toast points were nearly burnt & only served with 4, for such a large portion. When I asked for more, I had to send them back b/c they were simply too bunt & black to tolerate. But that was quickly corrected. The service was great. Unfortunately, I mentioned in our reservation that it was our 10th wedding anniversary but there was no mention of that from anyone on the staff, which was quite disappointing.
This was my second time dining at Asheville Proper, it was, yet again, spectacular from beginning to end. I highly recommend the bone marrow and triggerfish if they are available. 10 out of 10, would dine again.

I would say it was just ok. Not the really special place Iâd hoped for. I enjoyed the side dishes, but my ribeye was dry and kinda tough.

Excellent dinner Our new favorite in Asheville. Tuna crudités and Octopus appetizers are terrific. We also hit the Duck and Mahi Mahi dinners that were superb. Drinks were great and the Sâmores desert was a great way to end our meal.
My friend and I both ordered strip steaks (out of filets), mine was very good. The beet side was excellent. My friend switched his strip steak to a bourbon marinated strip steak. I didnât taste his, but unfortunately he didnât care for it. âNot much flavorâ he said. I have no doubt the restaurant would have happily have made him another, or a regular strip steak. He chose to not send it back. I will return. Nice place.

Food was excellent for adults. Needs a kid friendly menu and we would have given it a 5. Great martinis and wine list. Server Emma was outstanding!
