In post-Covid and inflation world I’m totally understanding of businesses that have challenges with low staffing, longer than usual wait times, or an increase in prices. I don’t know if that’s the case with Asheville Pizza South. But if you can justify why the bottom of the breadsticks (burnt to a char) was acceptable for my near $27 Large Pepperoni Pizza and breadsticks order, I’ll improve the score.
I ended up choosing this pizza the place for an outing where I ended up getting engaged. I regret nothing. This pizza is delicious. That Parmesan crust is perfection. The Greek salad is simple and also so fresh and tasty. Great beer selection. Also do not skip the wings. My now fiancée may have only asked me to marry him because I got these wings. Reasonably priced. They deliver. The employees are chill. Just go.
Pizza was delicious and service was friendly!! Love that they have vegan pepperoni, not just sausage - never seen that at a pizza place yet so I was stoked! Dude saw us digging in in the car and came out and asked if we wanted plates and napkins :’) 10/10!!
Very good pizza! We had the buffalo chicken pizza and Greek salad. The dressings were no doubt made in house and were delicious!! Definitely recommend and will return soon! A+
We just moved this week to Asheville from Southern California and part of the "worry" checklist was whether I'd find a pizza place as good as Mama Ramona's back home. Well...those fears were set aside after having the food from APS. ESPECIALLY for my girlfriend who is borderline vegan and hasn't had pizza in at least a year or more because she couldn't find a place with GF crusts or vegan cheese. So it was with great relief that after taking that first bite of the gluten-free crust with veggies that Lorraine uttered, with a big smile..."I've found my newest BFF!" She loved it!!! Balancing the food pyramid out, I'm the meat eater of the family and had a medium pepperoni, sausage and black olive pizza and it was delicious. Very tasty. And as a treat, I got the cinnamon rolls with raspberry preserve and buttercream icing. Nice way to top off the meal. So...boxes checked!
I love this place so much! The monthly pizza specials are rad. Just had the Great Cornholio last night... I was skeptical, but it was amazing! They never disappoint. And I'm so thankful for the vegetarian sausage and pepperoni options! No one else offers them! Staff is always super friendly and cool! Excellent beer choices, too!
I will NEVER order another pizza from Black Bear. This pizza is Perfect! 10 out of 10! The Unseen Eternal American Lager is Amazing, too! Thank you guys for suggesting that beer. My new favorite pizza place ❤️
Loved Loved loved this place. The inside & outside decor is aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, it is VERY SPACIOUS inside, I actually got lost lol but I didn’t mind due to the awesomeness of the rest of the restaurant view. They were doing a blood drive the night we visited and I saw they had A private movie theater which is pretty dope. I will definitely dine in next time to enjoy the full experience but I would highly recommend this place. Our food was delicious especially my burger. The host was also super friendly and courteous!!
Best pizza I've had in a while and amazing service!! My new go-to for pizza in Asheville. Their gluten free crust is incredible and unique options like the Moon Pie and Shear Delight are just yummy.
What a great pizza! Asheville pizza really hit it for us. The flavors were outstanding! (We had the Moon Pie with red sauce) Their red sauce is beautifully balanced between the acid and sweet with generous chunks of tomato. Each bite had several ingredients in it and the crust was sublime, crispy, soft, tasty and Parmeasean covered. The service was awesome, the gents were fast with the pizza, great in their service and kind in attitude. We will order again.
