Great find on the South Slope. Down the Rabbit Hole is a drink I could have all day long. Staff was very helpful in guiding you towards a satisfying drink. Fun little alcoves for seating. Live music and a beautiful outdoor seating area. Can't recommend enough!
Enjoyed this cocktail bar and its slight speakeasy vibe with its antiqued decor. Drinks were great and perfectly balanced and the bartenders were very nice! The lady in the gift shop could’ve been friendlier though, but overall we enjoyed this bar.
Very cool chemistry themed distillery and cocktail bar. Great selection of unique gins and amazing cocktails. If you are a gin lover this place is a must go.
What an amazing place! The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. We are looking forward to another visit when we next travel to Asheville
Antidote has the best vibe of any bar we've been to in Asheville. There are so many nooks and crannies to tuck yourself into, and we enjoyed a game of chess in one of these while waiting on our drinks. We haven't managed to hit it while the rooftop bar has been open, but that's on our list of to-dos one day. I love the decor and the whole place is just gorgeous.
Pretty chill speakeasy. I bet pre covid this place was probably jumping! It is limited seating with no standing room so if they are full you will need to wait. It is worth the wait even in the cold. Top tip avoid any drink that is pre made like there Old Fashioned that comes from a tap. This was the only downside, I ordered the OF and wanted walnut bitters or chocolate bitters and I was told it's ore made and comes from the tap. They have a whole shelve of different bitters but I went with it and was disappointed. For a place like this a single big cude of ice for the OF would be right and perfect but it was over a cup of ice. They do have big cubes so I ordered a drink with one and it was like lemon pound cake and it was wonderful. I was told it was pre made also because I ordered it with rum not their gin but the bartender who was actually making the drinks corrected the guy taking my order and said they are made to order. Order a drink they have to make and see the bartender show off their skills. Cool place, will be back.

First time in Asheville and Antidote peaked my interest while scouting for a cocktail bar and oh boy am I pleased I chose this place. Each cocktail on the list is a unique concoction of spirits and flavors, a very eclectic selection. Holiday themed drinks are must try. The decor is tastefully sophisticated and rustic. I tried the lemon pound cake cocktail which was perfectly balanced and extremely refreshing. The hosts and bar tenders were extremely welcoming, had a great time, hope to be back soon
I love how much thought and effort was put into decorating this space. It's warm and quirky without being stuffy and pretentious. My friend and I played musical chairs the day before Asheville Snowpocalypse 2022, swapping out seats at the bar for the Harry Potter alcove under the stairs, then for second story seats at the rail, then inside the little office above the stairs, then the center table downstairs, then the fainting couch, and finally the corner booth. We only missed the front window nook and outside at the firepits.Great cocktails, friendly bartenders, and well priced for the quality. In the myriad of cocktails we consumed only one wasn't great and the bartender swapped it out without complaint. Looking forward to going back soon. ?
