Fantastic smoked meats and southern side dishes. Reasonable prices, craft beers.

The 3 bones is a great size with a side. The Blueberry Chipotle sauce was amazing. Sweet and spicy. Atmosphere is great. Just what I expected from a BBQ place in North Carolina.

This place has the best food and awesome vibe.

We did pickup and the food traveled well. The Jalepeno cheese grits were my favorite. The mac and cheese was a bit of a disappointment. It wasn't very cheesy and tasted like plain noodles. The ribs and the smoked turkey were fantastic. We like that you can order small sides of meat to try more things. It was a bit expensive considering the small size of the sides, but for the most part it was delicious and well worth it.

We came for lunch at recommendation of tour guide. Food was not as expected. My pulled chicken was large chunks of dry, smoked meat that I did not care for. My sides of corn pudding and sweet potatoes were very good. Husband enjoyed his ribs and baked beans. There is a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where beverages, utensils, sauces, etc. are self serve. Servers, however are readily available if needed.

The quality of the meat was so good!!!! The taste was delicious! The ribs were my favorite. We ended up eating here twice we enjoyed it so much! If you need gluten free: They are great at handling gluten free. The menu is clearly marked with many GF items. This is one of those places I’ll always wish I could go back to!

I tried 3 proteins; blueberry chipotle ribs (5* among the best I've ever had), pulled pork (4*) & the smoked turkey - very flavorful/succulent (5*).Legit cornbread. Collard greens & corn casserole were ?. Friendly service & they also brew their own beer (several styles), I'll vouch for the Stay Golden light lager.

We had lunch at 12 Bones at the suggestion of a local, and it did not disappoint. We both had ribs (with two different sauces), and we agreed they were the most tender ribs we'd ever eaten. The sides: corn pudding, vinegar slaw, and mac and cheese were very tasty too. We arrived around 3:00, so the restaurant was not crowded. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Prices were very reasonable.

While the food is delicious, the price makes it not worth it. The sides are VERY SMALL and only ok. I don't quite understand how such a busy and expensive restaurant still looks like a run-down shack. But, hey, Obama has eaten here.

I ordered ribs and pulled pork. I have to say this is the best ribs and pulled pork I’ve had. The staff was friendly and restrooms were clean. The food came out quick and hot. There was plenty of seating inside and all kinds of seating outside. A+ 12 Bones!!!
