Excellent Chef,the food was fresh and tasty.
We’ve eaten here at Sapporo’s a lot in the past and we still do to this day. But the portion size of steak that you get in your plate is a joke. We always order teriyaki steak plates. You used to get a lot of meat, along with rice and carrots. But now it seems you get a ton of rice, half azz portion of carrots and hardly any steak at all. Wish there were a better Japanese joint in Asheboro…. Won’t be heading back to Sapporo’s anytime soon.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. They have really gone down hill the last several months. The last several times I have been there I ordered chicken hibachi and these days you get a much smaller amount of chicken and what you do get is of very poor quality. I think the owner must be burnt out and has lost his passion for cooking. I have eaten there my last time. Sorry Sapporo's.
If they would had had more staff like waitresses might would had been better since the pandemic it has changed but the girl i thank did ok for being the only waitress they have messes up my wifes order the last 2 times but thankfully we ait in so they could change it for her thanks guys please fallow
This place USED to be good. They never answer the phone now. When they do finally answer , they keep you on hold so long you have to hang up. When you DO get through to order food, it’s never correct. We will be looking for another place. It’s unfortunate because they don’t seem to care anymore. Too busy and not enough time for quality I guess. I used to work in food service industry so I know how hard it can be. This is just piss poor.
As always the food was great, not keen on price increase but it is what it is.
Great spot, cook was tearing it up, grouper was an unusual offering but well worth trying.

My family and I get pick-up orders every Friday. Extremely amazing staff and food. Feels homey there.I also used to go with my friends after school sometimes. It’s so amazing.I recommend this place for anyone new in the area.Seriously, try them out! And check out their specials too. Such great prices.
Its always good, it's definitely the better of Japanese spots in town. Only down fall is the location. Being in wal-mart shopping center and parking is terrible. But the food is worth it, highly recommend it over Tokyo express 10 to 1.
