I can’t even give them a real 1 star because they didn’t even give my small party the time of day. Walked in, several people looked up at us, nothing was said. Waited a while, sister in law walked up to an employee who’d walked past us twice to ask if we could sit at one of the empty tables or needed to be seated, she said we needed to wait and she’d be with us in a minute. She didn’t even finish cleaning up her table after a few minutes, just left everything there and walked away and never saw her again after that. By the way there was no one rushing around and the place was small with 7 tables open and completely cleaned/ ready. The bartender who was maybe 10ft from us this whole time and hadn’t spoken to us once walked up to the hostess area with some receipts, made eye contact with each one of us, so I thought we’d be seated, but instead she said not one word to us, not even a nod of acknowledgment, looked down then walked away back to the bar smiling and laughing. We looked around and waited some more, and more, and more, the lady who we had forced to speak to us was nowhere to be found, so eventually we just turned around and walked out after sitting on our phones and looking at other restaurants nearby while being ignored by staff. Cherry on top was not one person said a word when we left either, like we didn’t even exist. I’ve worked in customer service/ with the public/ food service since I was 17, I know when to give people a break, but this was just plainly being ignored. <3
Absolutely the best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time. We enjoyed calamari, Stromboli and lobster ravioli (with a sauce to die for). Went back the following day and had more lobster ravioli and shrimp fettuccini alfredo. Highly recommend! Oh… and the cheesecake…. A+
This is the worst service I had ever received! We were here for 2 hours and only received refills once. Two people in our party didn’t receive their food until 45 minutes after the rest of us already had our food. Those who received their food late were charged full price and the order still came out wrong. The waitress Corina G was rude and never said you’re welcome when we said thank you. She couldn’t remember what everyone ordered and it took 20 minutes to get our change. The food was actually great but I will never be going back!
Came through on a family vacation. Pizza and pasta for the kids was great. The 1/4 rotisserie chicken was INCREDIBLE. Drinks were delicious. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive to our kids which is always appreciative as a parent. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. If we ever make it back we will surely revisit!!!!
Very friendly staff. Veal with mushrooms and walnuts tasted great. Lobster ravioli was good but not great. Calamari appetizer was bland and in need of more time in the fryer. Service was rushed. Our salad was served at the same time as the appetizer. Entrees were served before we finished either of those. The staff needs to learn better timing.
My son had to ask for a clean fork because his had dried on spaghetti sauce on it. The food was good. Nothing special. I ordered fettuccine with shrimp. My son ordered veal parmigiana. For an appetizer we had fried zucchini. It was insanely priced! The cost ended up being a dollar per zucchini slice which is nutz! Zucchini slices were the size of half of a pencil and we got 10. We are from out of town and we decided that we like our hometown Italian restaurant better. Our waiter was friendly but absent towards the end. I ended up giving the hostess my tab money because our waiter never returned to our table.
Fun, friendly staff. Amazing food. Lobster ravioli is a must try. The Seafood Mediterraneo was delicious as well. Bread is yummy. Only complaint is that the tiramisu needs to be bigger. It was yummy but we want more! #HeavyGapproved
I recently got married and made reservations for our wedding dinner party. We were seated in a separate area that allowed privacy which I appreciated. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious!!!!!! Everyone loved their dish!!! There is no doubt my husband and I will be back for dinner here.
The very best spot in Asheboro to enjoy delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Their menu is diverse, with many old-world specialties, and lots of classics, to indulge the taste buds. There are also many vegetarian-friendly appetizers and entrees to choose from. They make the best eggplant parmigiana in the area, and their sauce is always very fresh and chunky - unlike that thin, runny pizzeria sauce with orange oily residue that's seemingly so popular, in this town. When dining in, the table is served a complimentary bottomless basket of full of freshly-made, warm Italian bread, along with a small bowl of warm olive oil with herbs. It's really such a great little touch that even occasionally factors into my choice to return, again. Positano's a sister restaurant in Greensboro, which is also just as great. Their parking lot typically has many available spaces, right in the front, very close to the door.
The food has been great both times I've been there! This weekend we went and the white tablecloths were gone which had given the place a very nice look. I asked why and was told that covid can last in a tablecloth for 7 days. This struck me as some kind of lie since I would think tablecloths would be changed after each diner, right? Change the tablecloth and send them to be laundried. So were they originally not changing the cloths between diners or did it become too expensive for them to have them? I would prefer the truth. We also had reservations this weekend and arrived for the hostess to try and seat us at a place with one booth seat and a single chair on the other side, which was near the entrance. I asked to be put at a real booth and she said they were reserved (the place at 4:30 was 2/3rds empty). I told her again we had a reservation and we wanted a booth. So finally she gave in, took us to a booth which had a saucer size hole in the vinyl on one side. I sat down on the good side and let my husband sit on the bad side since he was wearing blue jeans. So are they going broke or they just don't care?
