Ugh I hate writing bad reviews, but I hate having terrible coffee too. I was told that this spot was black owned so it was a must visit. Especially in this area where not many spots are black owned. At first impression I was disappointed. The decor is not great at all. A coffee shop should feel welcoming, comfortable and inspiring. It looked like the decor was an after thought. Even the sign in the shop was just a vinyl print. No black inspired artwork, or anything personal. The bakery items are Costco bought, or definitely purchased somewhere else. I order 3 shots of espresso over ice with some mocha drizzle in the cup & a Carmel latte with oat milk. I got a ice coffee for my drink (because if it was espresso it wouldn’t have looked like a full cup of coffee) I didn’t drink it. It was just bad. I ended up going to another spot to get coffee. My hubby said his coffee tasted like milk with some coffee in it. The thing is coffee is an art form. And having a 16yr make it you’re not going to get the art because they usually don’t even coffee. I won’t return. Nothing stood out at all. Coffee bad. Space lack luster. Music horrible.
Great coffee and staff, had a pleasant experience. Something to improve would be picking out some music to play. Sat down and chilled out for about 3 hours by a cozy seat near the window.
The coffee and muffins were delicious and well priced!! Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean and cute! The bathroom was very clean also and even had a changing table.
Our drinks were very good and the girl working was very friendly! It's a great little coffee shop. When you enter the place looks a little unfinished and bare, but once you get the the back it's a cute coffee shop! I can't wait to return and watch it grow!
I hosted a semi-private event for a small group of life coaches at The Mocha Room, and I'll definitely be back. The vibe is so chill, and I love how artwork from local artists are displayed at the coffee shop for sale. The Mocha Room even allows vendors on Saturdays. I absolutely love the way the owners support small businesses.I enjoyed my green tea, and one of the members of my party loved the Chai latte.
The Mocha Room was AMAZING!!!…a cute and intimate coffee shop. Met the owners and they were amazing. I ordered a chai latte and it was delicious!!! I definitely will be returning and I loved how they support other local businesses! Go check them out!!!
Cute little coffee shop with good coffee and a fun vibe. It was the perfect place to stop on my way back to Raleigh. It’s super convenient coming off the highway! This will become my new travel stop on my way down south.

I'll need to try this place again, but my first experience here was a pretty milky cappuccino. Like, "are they sure they added the coffee..."I plan to try this place again and update my review appropriately. They're brand new and deserve a try. They'll need time to grow and develop consistency. I look forward to trying this place again.
