Our first time here and never again will be coming back! My kids and I love pizza and thought we give this pizza place a try! This restaurant fails to understand the value of a customer especially when they were told this was our first time there! I understand the elderly lady and gentleman are the owners of this business who took and accepted payment for our take-out order. While we were waiting for our food, the rain came down and my two kids decided to eat in so we asked if we could instead sit and eat. The lady owner didn't seem interested in our request, even though there were at least 4 other tables still vacant, and told us to wait so she could get the tables cleaned. In the meantime, another family comes in and they were seated right away while we still waiting for our turn. Finally, we got seated, the gentleman, the owner brought our food, no water no silverware, and no napkins were brought to us! During the course of our dining, not once did the owner or any of their employees show any interest or come to ask about our meals; however, we noticed several times that they checked on other paying customers just like us at other tables. I asked the owner if we could have some water, and I was happy to pay for that (water is the first thing served without being asked at all restaurants we have been to) and he didn't seem to understand instead kept cleaning nearby tables. My daughter asked again if we could have water and still nothing. At this point I told my kids we need to leave this place as there are no words to describe the feeling when the owners themselves are not interested in having our business! Bottom line is, what made us different from the other paying customers?

I met Vick playing golf and he told me about his pizza place. We ordered last night and we're very happy with the food and service. The place was packed when I went in to pick up, but they serviced quickly. Vick recognized me immediately and gave me a welcoming smile. We have found our go to pizzeria!! And hopefully Vick can take his time to play some golf during the week.

We've been ordering pizza from Mezza Luna Pizza for over a year now and I have to say that the crust, the sauce and the flavor is what I've been missing since we moved from New York. I've tried pizza from other pizza places and either the crust texture is off or the sauce is too sweet or the cheese is too oily. Mezza Luna is the closest to that New York pizza taste I remember so well and I'm so glad I found them. A plain pie is my regular Friday night order but sometimes I get the Margherita pie or Grandma pie. They're all really good. The owners, Vic and Lucy are so sweet and their customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend them!

A++ all around great experience! After hearing about this place for months, decided to give a try for dinner tonight. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and inviting with friendly, attentive service. The authentic NY pizza is some of the best I have ever had. Nice crisp crust with a flavorful sauce. Both the fettuccine Alfredo and chicken marsala were fresh, delicious with large enough portions for leftovers. The owners, Vic and Lucy, are both super nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Ordered a pizza from Mezza Luna and was absolutely ripped off with the toppings I ordered.Called to complain and the person I spoke to told me I had no business calling and complaining to him. Absolutely mind boggling to me that a business would handle a customer complaint like this and I'm sure the response will be this isn't how it all transpired.Plenty of other pizza places in town.

Their pizza is really good. Everything else on the menu that I’ve ordered has been very poorly, and often under cooked. We’ve gotten the kids tenders with fries at least 10 times. The fries have been mostly raw every time.

This is the best pizza I have had outside of my own Italian fathers handmade, from scratch, pizza. This is as authentic as it gets! Vic and Luci are great people and I am so happy I happened upon this jewel… you will be too!!!

Searching for a place in Apex that was open on Mondays was a chore. Came across Mezza Luna and saw the owners were Italian and had restaurants in NY and are now settled in Apex. We got dishes with the moon as those are their specialties. Mom in law got the baked zitti alla vic, hubbie got chicken mezza Luna and I got a bianca personal.pizza. we also got Mozzarella sticks and arancini di riso. Everything was delicious! The white wine sauce had the right amount of salt and tasted buttery to me... not to thin and not to thick. The sauce on the ziti was very good. My pizza was amazing and I added crumbled sausage. There are more things on the menu I'd like to try. Service was good and friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try.

The place is charming and clean. The cheese pizza was tasty and came out fast! Highly recommend the lunch special.

This was by far, one of the best Italian restaurants we have found in the Apex:Cary area. My husband had the calzone and it was stuffed ricotta, pepperoni and mushrooms and I had the Chicken Parm Pizza which was to die for! I love Italian food but I am allergic to garlic. They don't use garlic in their tomato "gravy"pizza sauce so I was over the top thrilled! So my fellow no-go garlic peeps, this is the place to come!
