Haven't been to an IHOP in years. This morning I needed to be near one and decided pancakes would be perfect! New item - Lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes. Lemon ricotta pancakes are my favorite and I love blueberries - heaven, right? NO - they are awful. After 4-5 bites I threw the remaining 3/4 of the pancakes in the trash!! Now I am really hungry ? ?
It's an IHOP, so pretty standard fair if you've been to one before. Breakfast and lunch specials that rotate seasonally. Good place for a relatively cheap breakfast served all day. They recently discontinued the Harvest Grain Nut pancakes there, which is a shame as they were one of my favorite items to get. Overall clean, fast service, and friendly staff. Will be returning next time I'm craving a quick breakfast in Apex. Hope the next menu change will have something worthwhile to replace the harvest grain nut pancakes.
I would not recommend IHOP. Pancakes are subpar. You can get delicious pancakes from First Watch or Briggs. The only reason i visited was because my daughter worked here. The stars are more about the restaurant being carelessly and poorly managed. My 15 year old high school student was being over worked and her amazing work ethic being taken advantage of by giving her more side work. She was regularly scheduled as the only server on Monday nights! Having 9 tables at a time being sat all at once and continuing for hours! This of course spread her customer service for each table very thin. And customers blaming her for things that were out of her control. Needless to say she is no longer working here. So no reason to revisit.
I ordered the weekday breakfast special--2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, and hash browns. The hash browns were nicely browned but not particularly flavorful. (Remedied with s&p and ketchup.) The pancakes and sausage were good. The eggs--over easy-- were a bit underdone for me. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, I got what I expected. For your money, it's a good breakfast.
Took forever to sit us down, they sat 2 couples that got to the restaurant AFTER US first. Then another family who sat down AFTER US got their food before us, they were at least 8 and we were only 4. We ordered an appetizer we never received, we were later informed the waiter forgot to put in the order. By the time we received the food my youngest son had fallen asleep already. I understand there is a labor shortage but the service we received was not good.
It was my favorite breakfast place, but not after today!!! We have a very bad experience with the waiter!!!!!!!!! She is so mean!! We wasted our time waiting for Just the coffee!! Never back again...
Ate breakfast here today on 03.07.22Our waitress Carol was very nice and busy as she attended numerous tables. The side order of hash browns had unmelted cheese and the onions were still raw so I sent them back. My big steak omlette didn't have much flavor either. My husband's beef tips also were not that great. As soon as I came home 20 minutes after leaving IHOP, my stomach starting hurting and I had to take some pesto bismol. Not planning on eating here again anytime soon. Kudos to our waitress though.
Perrin, my server was awesome and very understanding of my dietary restrictions. Went out of her way to speak to the manager about pricing for my meal.Food was awesomely doneDefinitely recommend coming here.♥️
