I bought a Groupon deal and they taxed the deal $3.00 and a $1.00 tax I have the receipt to prove this. When I looked at the receipt I asked the guy at the register why didn’t my Groupon take the $20 off my meal he said they tax the Groupon so instead of making a scene cause people were staring probably because I nearing 7ft tall I just left feeling cheated. Replying to the owner. Sir I am aware of tax thank you. But why are you taxing my Groupon separate and then still put another sales tax on my meal?
Hwy 55 catered an open house for our kids camp. The price was great! Tami included the arming dishes and all the fixins for the burgers, hot dogs, and tenders. The food was delivered piping hot and freshly made. Our attendees were so happy to have a great variety of food! Will definitely cater with Hwy 55 again!!!
Worst hwy 55 experience ive ever had. Kitchen timing was terrible. Salads came out 10 mins after burgers. Food was cold. Server was garbage. Would never suggest eating at this location. Would give them less then 1 star if I could
If you're looking for a burger joint with a bit of a retro feel, this is the place. The burgers and fries are pretty good and I would recommend the peanut butter shake with fudge.

Stopped here for lunch with a group of coworkers. The waiter forgot almost all of the specifics of our very basic order. It took 50 mins to receive our food. Items were cold and several items were missing. After reminding the waiter of said missing items, he still never brought them. Cute atmosphere, very disappointed food and service.
Went in tonight for a meal with the family, we were over charged. The waiter offered the kids free ice cream because they were out of the cars they usually come in the kids were pumped, my son order a shrimp burger off the kids menu (which is on every menu on the restaurant). They argued with my wife because apparently they don’t sell kids menu shrimp burgers. They also charged us for the ice cream that the waiter offered us. I’m not sure where the disconnect happened but we are less than thrilled about the interaction. We approached the situation like there was a miscommunication and were met with a poor attitudes and treated like liars. Simply asking the waiter could have solved the entire situation and could have been a great learning opportunity instead we were treated very rudely.
I loved it and it was a nice welcome back home meal. I haven’t had Hwy 55 since high school and the service was fast! Nico was an excellent server and I really enjoyed my experience!
Love eating here. Great food and decent prices. Like everyone else, they’re feeling the pain of labor shortage right now so go in ready to be patient. The staff have a great attitude and always take good care of us.
