Came for dinner and left full ✨ Ive had a fair share of southern bbq, but this was a great go-to. I got the braised chicken with sweet potato fries and Bleu cheese salad and it was sooo good with the honey butter. They have a pretty good selection of beer and drinks to pair with food, and specials that change out too. Their pork rinds were AMAZING, highly recommend for your cheat days ? their potato salad and Mac n cheese were also incredible, and covered in sauce which was a nice surprise! Service was pretty prompt, nothing super special to say but they were friendly and accommodating. They have another location in Cary as well. Would come again!
Wow! Great Southern hospitality and BBQ. We had brunch after church at Apex Baptist. Our party with 7 people had a wonderful time and couldn't eat all they gave us. They give huge portions and are exceptionally priced. The BBQ pork egg rolls were unbelievable and the BBQ Brisket Hash with over easy eggs and cubed red potatoes was scrumptious! We were visiting family and will return when we visit again. We highly recommend! Put this fine establishment on your do not miss list!
Some friends were in town and invited us here for lunch on a Saturday. Our party of five enjoyed several chopped barbecue sandwiches and plates with sides. I've never heard of a kale slaw as a side item, and it was actually more like a small kale salad. Service from our young waiter was pleasant and efficient, and we were thanked by the staff on our way out. Plus, prices were reasonable and portions were decent. They do have a good selection of beer and it looks like they could double as a bar at night. So, how was the food? I would have to say it was good but not outstanding. My chopped pork barbecue didn't really have a smokey flavor - at least to me. Props for the sriracha honey brussels sprouts that I had as the veggie of the day. That was distinctive and delicious.
Food is always great and hot. Let me tell you, I asked for a specialty item and they were more than happy to assist. Also, in the maybe 2 minutes Jordan helped me, 4-5 other employees stopped by to ask if i had been helped. Exemplary service!
Stopped in for lunch and pleased to see there were outdoor tables available along the building and in the parking lot. Service was good. Ordered the brisket platter and Granny's cornbread which was to be served with pot liquor and honey butter , but was not told they were out of the pot liquor and honey butter so not sure I got the total Granny's cornbread experience. They had food trucks and catering trucks in the parking lot, so they seem like a popular establishment. Would consider returning.
Pleasant, low key, generous portions of barbecue, uses a lot of pepper - which we liked. Some outdoor seating. Very reasonable for family platter.
I just picked up a Big Mikes soft taco with pork and slaw and crumbled pork rinds on top! Delicious! I ordered also their sweet potato fries….waffle style. Oh my gosh they are delicious! They have the best service at Mike’s….always friendly and quick with your orders! Thank you for my delicious lunch!
I've been a regular at this location and the one on Maynard for a few years now. I think it used to also be called Brew N Que but maybe it's just Big Mike's now. They have a great selection of BBQ, sides, and beer. My go to has been the chopped BBQ plate and I would recommend the mac n cheese!
Decided to get take out tonight and quickly remembered why we haven’t eaten here in a couple years. Absolutely the worst meal I’ve ever had. I’m leaving this review to hopefully remind myself to never eat here again.
I will NEVER order catering from this establishment again. To have paid over $200 for catering for 6-8 people the portions were kid meal sizes. Literally five slices of brisket broken up mostly fat on them…wings subpar and the cornbread was hard and dense. Ruined our super bowl party and now have to scramble to find and feed our company a decent meal.*Update* Chris was amazing and made it up to us. Still super disappointed but I appreciate him so much for that gesture.
