The room was very clean. The short stay exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family if they are in need of hotel accommodations in the New York Tri State area!
This was host hotel for my family reunion. Staff welcomed the 80 person group such that we “adopted” them for the weekend! Facility was super clean, loved the elevator security system, adequate gym and pool area, breakfast had good variety. The location being in the midst of the mall was an added extra!
Room was very comfortable and appreciated easy access if handicapped parking at checkin. Location in the mall worked great. Used this location to go to appointment and Och Spine Hospital and was an easy ride.
I cannot thank the reception staff enough. After a trying day on the road with work I arrived thinking my room had been prepaid by my company. It hadn't, dismayed I melted into despair and almost threw a dreaded "Karen" response, because I did not have the actual company card, however the delightful male receptionist, who I wish I could remember his name, said they could put through the charge on the card holding the reservation. I almost couldn't believe my ears. Actual customer service with no red tape or I'm sorry it's policy nonsense. I am so grateful, I get a lot of BS traveling for my job and have made it clear to everyone at work who would listen that if at all possible I would prefer staying at a Hyatt in the future. They really went an extra step for us and it made all the difference. Thank you.
Good hotels with excellence of services and facilities designs that are simple guess compatible. This Hotels are my favorite even though I have a very high expectation at every stay. I feel confortable with all amenities that make you feel that you belong..
The mall is entertainment itself! Hosted a family reunion there and the family was ecstatic about what the area had to offer. Totally in the heart of restaurants, entertainment, the casino. There's something to do for every age group. Hotel staff very professional and attentive, guest were cordial as well. Accessible to major highways and public transportation to NYC. I would definitely stay again!
We were looking for some peace of mind and relaxation. Found what we were looking for, everything in walking distance. Enjoyed our time and staff was very helpful. For any couple looking to just get away from the kids and stress in life, I recommend.
My colleagues and I have stayed here three to four times a year for several years. The recent reviews are sadly, accurate. The rooms and common areas are filthy and the lack of housekeeping in unforgivable. If they do not have enough housekeeping staff, then reduce the number of available rooms or close this hotel. Carpet in hallways and rooms is flithy - and smells. Trash piled up in every recepticle - where else should we put it if there is no housekeeping in rooms? EVERY morning I asked for my room to be cleaned - at least the trash emptied - and it never happened. The hallways on several floors smell of urine, weed and have trash (like gum!) in the same location for days! The cooling system was incredibly loud - I thought it was broken - kept me awake all night, every night! Although the staff are very nice - the lack of cleanliness negates anything good about the hotel or the staff!
My friend's care broke down in NYC and we needed a place to crash for the night until the car was repaired. I hopped on the the World of Hyatt app and booked a room. It was so easy and only took a few minutes. The ladies at the front desk were super kind and helpful. The hotel is right in the middle of an outdoor mall, so we had plenty of meal options.
I don’t check out for another two days but I feel pressed to leave feedback so others are aware of what to expect when booking this location.I’ll start with the pros:-very friendly staff-excellent locationThe cons:- The hotel has a dingy feel to it. From the dirty carpet odors to the stains on the upholstery both in the lobby and our room, I personally did not feel comfortable sitting anywhere (other than our bed) for too long. It doesn’t matter how clean a room is; seeing stains on a hotel room couch is a red flag.- The bathrooms (one family and two regular restrooms) on the lobby floor need to be better maintained. On two occasions my daughters and I found that every single bathroom was dirty, complete with leftover feces staining the toilet bowls and toilet paper all over the floors.- I’m highly disappointed in the fact that the indoor pool is not available while we’re here. My husband is in the area for a work trip and asked the kids and I to tag along. I went out of my way to find a well-rated hotel with a pool so I could easily keep the little ones occupied. Needless to say that plan fell through. I get that some things are just out of one’s control but since the hotel has a website, the right thing to do would have been to post that on their site. Had I seen it mentioned online, we would’ve booked elsewhere. But to list an indoor pool as one of the available amenities only for that to be untrue is deceitful at best.Hopefully management addresses these matters soon. Until then, we will be looking elsewhere.
