Wife and I came here for our first time. I ordered the Berkshire pork chop and I’m not huge on them so I was nervous ordering it and it was very good. Atmosphere is terrific, waitresses and waiters and hosts are awesome. Wife loved her filet mignon she ordered. Service to get our wine was slow and we waited a little longer than I like to get our check but I would definitely recommend and I will be back.
My wife and I just celebrated our 22nd year anniversary, along with our daughter we always go out to a high class restaurant. Over the years we've been through a lot around the city of Buffalo but nothing ever really stuck with us. From hutches to Sinatra, sear, Lombardos and the list goes on. We searched for something different this year and 800 Maple came up. We didn't know what to expect but from the service to the staff was everything was fantastic. When it came to the food let me juts say OMG! From the appetizers to the sides amd then the entrees was by far the best food we've ever eaten. This will be ourChoice evey year and in between. Thank you for such a wonderful time that will stay into our memories.
I am vegan, the chef did good job preparing my food, my girlfriend had pork she really enjoyed. There is a good atmosphere and we spend wonderful time. But we felt uncomfortable because we were asked so many time if we still working on our food. It felt like they wanted us to finish even my girlfriend was drinking her whisky, and our plates were full with food. I think for such expensive place it is not right manners. That is why I gave 4 stars to the place.
Place was packed for dinner. Started at the bar and the bartender is awesome. She’s very interactive and seems to remember all faces. We were seated in the main dining room. The menu is a bit limited but is supplemented with specials. The salmon and broccolini are excellent. The filet mignon is good but not amazing. The wine choices by the glass are very good.
Great menuThe strip ,& filet was excellent.Appetizers are very good.Service was excellent.Mixologist at bar could make anything you wanted.Very experienced staffWe'll run ????️
This is a wonderful setting for romantic dinners or a get-together for good friends. It is elegant without stuffiness. The food is delicious and beautifully plated. Overall, prices are reasonable given large portions. Excellent.
My husband and I had a lovely dinner on the Valentine's day at 800 Maple. Host Peter is a super funny, friendly and professional thanks for him a lot! So we ordered pizza and a grilled fish, french fries. The pizza was hot, super thin and dry a bit, pineapple juice was great, we also ordered a champagne, but we didn't know what's the name. The pizza had a bit salty and dry, thin. Although it was tasty. The fish was delicious?. It was great! It's a small but busy restaurant so you should keep in mind to book a table before you go. Also price was $100. But between "Neat" and "800 Maple" I would give 5 stars to Neat!
My favorite restaurant! My favorite meal is chicken cutlets downtown style. Also, the sweet potato fries are amazing.
We arrived and were seated promptly (7:15 reservation, as a couple). The bar area was less noisy; amazing! The main dining area, where we were, is basically a single large room. If you want to talk, be prepared to shout. The decor is just plain dark; we would have paid for some flowers. I had a mixed drink, it was tasty; we also had wine by the glass--quite good. The staff was very busy; the restaurant was full. Our server was friendly and helpful when she stopped by, but I wound up having to stop random staff members to get things brought to us. The menu is fairly limited, and we had trouble finding things that we were interested in--finally settled on fish and a lamb chop for mains. The fish was very good, the lamb was blackened--you could smell the char (it was not a "blackened" dish)--thick and kind of fatty. We did also have one Cesar salad (very good) and a salad with Mozzarella where the cheese was just plain cool, like from a fridge, and a bit watery. The bill was about $140 plus tip. I see that the parking lot is full, so many people like the food and the style of the place. Bless them. I think that for this money, I can have a much nicer experience elsewhere (like San Marco!)
Food was very good although it did take quite a while to get out of the kitchen. Ambiance was nice although it was a little dark for my liking.
