Good diner. It is exactly what you'd expect a diner to be. Large counter with seats, a bunch of booths, and some tables. There's even another section with more tables. Menu is loaded with everything you'd expect from a diner. I had the bacon cheeseburger. It was really good. Good size and cooked well. It's on your classic seeded bun. I'd have no problems going here again if I wanted a diner burger. Staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable.
At first service was great, waiters we're attentive and food was great. Now there's a long wait time from when you are seated and waiters taking your order. They take a long time to give you your drinks and food. On top of that even if it's a seat of 3 , they add their gratitude at the highest percentage. Other restaurants and dinners don't pull this kind of stunt. Don't recommend this dinner.
The food was amazing, everything came out nice, hot, and cooked perfectly. Just the waitress seemed to be more interested into her phone then her customers. After she dropped off the food, didnt see her again till the end trying to get the bill.
I’ve been eating at this diner for over 20 years and have eaten there over 100 times by myself and with friends and family. Unfortunately this restaurant has gone downhill rapidly over the last two years. Not only have the prices increased by 30% or more over the last two years ( I can live with that) but the quality of the food has also gone downhill.On a recent visit I was one of maybe 4 tables in the diner. It was practically empty. I waited at least 15 to 20 minutes to be served semi warm food. Eggs were under cooked and potatoes / home fries tasted like they were yesterday’s potatoes reheated.I have given this restaurant the benefit of the doubt over the last two years because of the pandemic but I don’t think I will be eating there again in the near future.Do yourself a favor and eat at City Limits Diner. The food is only marginally more expensive but the quality is WAY better and the ambience and service are also WAY better.Sorry White Plains diner but you have lost a long time, loyal customer.
I am updating my initial Review due my giving this Diner multiple chances only to be dissapointed with the food, communication upon delivery and rudeness of either Management or Employees. There are better eateries in the area and I would rather go out of my way to eat in or take out. They deserve 1 Star, but 2 for having their own Parking Lot which is like Gold in White Plains.Just took another chance to go and do a take-out. 25 minutes for Scrambled Eggs, Soggy Turkey Bacon, Fries hardly done.Overpriced on top of it all. Last visit.
Great spot for a quick bite
Waitress was very rude, and inattentive. Took my order and had to keep reminding her of what I ordered. And had to ask for the coleslaw and pickle included with the food. Not a good place to come, this would honestly be the last place I come to eat considering I wasn’t even done with my sandwich and she threw the check at my table. And didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted a to go container I had to ask the guy in the front for a container. Once I paid the bill the workers ran to look at the check as if I didn’t pay my bill, they know this place is a horror show. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of the many food places that goes bankrupt, with horrible nonexistent service and subpar food, go elsewhere.
Local Diner hits home every time! Dinner specials are a good deal; can get completely FULL for less than $20 per person!
We asked the waiter what the cheese steak sandwich was made with, steak or roast beef and he said steak. It was roast beef. Asked for crispy fries with American cheese and gravy, they came doggy and with mozzarella cheese, gravy in the side and it was orange and gross. I ordered chicken noodle soup and she ordered chicken rice soup. Mine was great hers was salty. When we asked the waiter to take it off the bill he sent the owner over. He came to the table with a small bowl of the soup and stood there drinking the broth and arguing that because he was able to drink the soup broth. It was not to salty and would not remove it from the bill. The entire experience at this place was less than ok. We left feeling hungry and annoyed because the owner did this performance at the table. So unprofessional and less than normal. Will never return and recommend people think twice before going there.
Ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and an order of chocolate chip pancakes from Uber eats and it was the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Everybody here in these reviews saying their food was even good from here..I can’t trust your judgment. The fries didn’t even have salt on them! It tasted like nasty leftover food. I didn’t have the pancakes but my coworker hated them too. Never ordering from here ever in my life.
