What a truly great evening spent last night at Sam's of Gendey Way. The new menu created and presented by Chef Rob was outstanding ... from the presentation to the taste. There were 5 of us ... we are all in the food industry so needless to say we are not easy to please and often the most critical. We didn't find one thing that wasn't amazing. Creative but substantial and left us wanting more. The owner couldn't have been more gracious and you can see why his businesses are successful. He and his team (including Marie!) define the word "hospitality"... we felt like we were at home. Great food and great place for a weekday night out, group of friends or to celebrate a special occasion. Thanks for a break from the daily craziness!

With Covid waning, our Toastmasters Club, Hudson River Toastmasters, celebrated our 30th anniversary at Sam's. Our event went off very well. Everyone enjoyed the event. The hospitality by May was courteous. She was very inconspicuous in serving the guests without any disruptions. I'm sure it was a challenge for the staff while under renovations; however, the event was handled with utmost professionalism. Thanks to Karen and Nick for hosting our anniversary celebration.
We used Sam’s of Gedney way for our rehearsal dinner and it was a wonderful experience throughout! Karen and David were great to work with; they responded promptly to my emails and were a wealth of information. We used the outdoor patio space which is adorable! We were able to bring our own decorations, but brought very minimal ones since it is already decorated so nicely with the hanging lanterns. The food was served family style and was delicious! I loved that the menu was highly customizable; we also had a few guests with dietary restrictions and they worked with us to provide alternatives. Sam’s is the perfect mix of a relaxed and classy and was just what we were looking for! The food, atmosphere, and warm staff gave us a night to remember!
Wonderful dining experience, from beginning to end. We had a delicious and beautiful meal and the staff was polite and helpful.The Burrata salad was fantastic.This restaurant was just what we needed for a great night
Everything about Sam's is outstanding...the food, the drinks, the bartender Ron, the chef Rob and kitchen staff, the atmosphere! Doesn't get any better than this local historic staple!
We had Plans. And...the universe laughed. So, on a Christmas Eve date, my husband and I ended up here for a late lunch. It was just right. The people were amazing The food was amazing And the Christmas carols were by Sinatra. Merry Christmas White Plains Come here and celebrate all that is dear to you.
Great meal tonight shared with friends who were dining at Sam's for the first time. Pecan chicken always a hit. And the rack of lamb special was excellent. Always a ring ding for dessert!
OMG that place is so amazing! Had my daughter birthday there! Food was amazingly good, staff are so welcoming and treat you like a queen! All my guests were so happy with the food and how wonderful this place was! Thank you so much! That’s my favorite restaurant ever. People if you are looking for a good place to eat in westchester or throw up a party please go there you won’t regret it!On my way to nice diner out ??
