It’s been more than a year since I went to Melt Shop and I already miss their old recipe. My favorite is the Truffle Melt and it seems like they changed the recipe. I prefer the old one without the pesto and parmesan because they overpower the truffle oil. Plus, they increased their price. However, I did enjoy the parmesan and herb fries.
Oh nah, my toilet got ptsd after eating the tenders and my friend got very sick. Avoid the chicken at all cost. The fries and tater tots are ok.
The Nashville spicy is quite good, be ready for heavy greasy though
My fiancé went here to purchase a sandwich. After the cashier states that Apple Pay can be used, their system began to have some issues. Before he offered to try again or for a different form of payment, he proceeds to cancel the transaction without a word and turns his back to her as if she were never there. Did he turn back around? No. Did he try to help? No. Did he ask if there was another form of payment before cancelling? No. It’s as if he didn’t want her there. He is a liability to the company if this is how he treats African Americans because realistically, without services from African Americans, the company loses revenue. The cashier on shift March 17, 2022 around 11:30am-12pm in the Westchester mall is melting the damn shop indeed. Hopefully someone looks into this person and replaces him with someone willing to be an asset to the company and do his/her job.
Honestly one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had (Nashville hot) and the loaded fries with the pickled spicy peppers were nice as well. Very good.
Husband went to The Melt Shop in NYC and raved about it. I was hype to come to this Melt Shop in Westchester mall, but I left very disappointed. The chicken was over fried and tasted terrible. We kept having to go back so they could fix our order (no apple juice for kid meal, no bbq sauce for tenders). The vanilla shake tasted like frozen whip cream. Overall bad experience.
Both times I’ve ordered delivery my meals were completely wrong and I was given someone else’s food, and no it was not the delivery driver’s fault they are not going to open my bag and containers to check every single item. Please make sure you give the right order to the right customer.
If you are going to this place, beware. There is a very short woman who is a cashier taking orders. If you are hard of hearing, do not go to this place because she did not speak loud and clear and I had a hard time understanding her. She also short changed me when I gave $10 and the original cost was $9.20 and needed me to give her $0.20 which therefore would pay an extra dollar. She needed to count the bills carefully which I was trying to get rid of my single dollar bills. Good thing she recounted because she could have shortchanged me and I would have complained. I went to try this place for myself and sure enough, the cashier gave me a hard time by not speaking clearly. When I got my sandwich, the sandwich was NOT spicy enough and which tasted like a regular chicken sandwich. They did not make the sandwich spicy enough and need to do a good job spice up the sandwich. If you go to food court, choose shake shack than melt shop because I would recommend you stay away from the cashier who is short because she had a temper when speaking to me I clearly. But the other female employee who gave me the food was friendly though. Until then, I would recommend staying away from the place or have the woman be moved as a cook or one who just hands the food without speaking.
This was the first time I order from this location. I was recommend from a friend that the food here was great and that the service was good as well. I was on a time crunch and ordered for pickup. I went there to pickup my food and they got my order completely wrong. The guy checked the food also to make sure I had everything and he gave it to me and I left. I got a chicken sandwich or something instead of the 8 wings I ordered. I got the fries I ordered but didn’t get my wings. I was very much disappointed in my decision to pick this place to eat. I think I will no longer order from here since this placed wasted my time and money. I know that shake shack they never mess up my order and I can confidently pickup my food with having to worry. They didn’t even give me my sauce.
Horrifying!! After not being acknowledged for over 3 minutes, I finally asked a staff member walking by if they were taking food orders...the man ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME and turned away.A minute later, another staff finally came, was rude as well and reluctantly agreed to take our Order. A surreal experience of disrespect. I'll never spend $1 there again.
