I went here for some Mexican food. The service was terrible. I ordered frozen margaritas and they weren't even frozen. The salsa with the chips had no flavor. The food that I ordered I got sick from the next day food poisoning. I used to go here a lot a few years ago and they were pretty good then and now just completely disappointed with the whole service.
No reservations, Waited an hour for a table for eight. Seated, it took another hour for food. I completely understand the short staffing and we waited patiently. Waitress asked us about dessert, I asked for coffee with dessert. Told they ran out of coffee, then she stated they turned the machine off. Flan was good tasting put had a thick skin underneath.Can't recommend this restaurant.
Use to love this place. Now you show up and wait for a long time to get seated even when they are close to empty. Went for an early dinner the other day and the waitress was really nice and did a great job, however it took us about 10 minutes to be seated and they weren't even half full. Then when I got my food it was barely warm and I figured maybe it was a new cook and there was 7 of us so maybe mine got made first and it was under the warmer. Not one to complain generally, so I ate it and was sick later that night due to the food.Tried to go with my sister a couple weeks ago and we were put in a wait list and weren't even told how long the wait might be, but we ended up going somewhere else and about 45 min later my sister finally got a text and again they weren't even full capacity and had several waiters.Not sure what changed or if they switched owners but it's not the place it used to be you pay $7 or more for a SMALL bowl of queso. Just sad it's not the place it used to be.
The chicken served in casadilla's, burritos, enchiladas etc... Is so good. We were surprised at the flavor in the bean, rice, and sauce. Better than your average Mexican food place in NY.
I dont like it anymore is not the same the only server was yelling at another worker calling him names in spanish, no music, the orders were missing some food that never came
Service was good and the food was amazing! I ordered the la changa with chicken and I wasn’t sure what to expect since I can be a picky eater at times. It was so delicious and I’m already thinking about the next time I’ll be back! Spectacular food!
60 dollars for Two Nacho Supreme & a burrito dinner; that’s three dinners to go with no drinks, For Mexican food that’s outrageous. Had it been good, I’d probably not be complaining as bad. Fajita meat was chewy with grizzle/fat; nacho chips were soggy and not enough toppings especially for what they’re charging. No bueno.. No mas..??
Food is always good here and reasonably priced. The restaurant is clean and service is good. It's well done classic Mexican favorites. I recommend the hard shell beef tacos and the carnitas.
We LOVE Monte Alban! Haven't had a bad dish, tried almost everything. Margaritas are awesome! Usually good and potent... gotta try it
Delicious. The best queso. I've had a few things off their menu and every one of them was great but Pancho's Special is by far my favorite.
