I am taking this opportunity to have my review focus on our waiter instead of the food. Mark was amazing. He greeted us at the door and promptly led us to our table. He was professional, courteous, caring and friendly. He was attentive and made us feel like valued patrons. He strives to ensure that you have a pleasant dining experience. He is truly an asset to Pete's.
Stopped on Tuesday after memorial day on the way to visit family. All tables in the (smallish) restaurant side were reserved, but fortunately there was one high-top in the bar. Presumably due to their being busy, service was on the slow side. But when it came the food was quite good. The chicken Alfredo was a generous portion, resulting in left overs for lunch. Will definitely add it to our list of places to stop for dinner on the way back to the north country!
What a pleasant surprise we had when we found Pete’s Trattoria in Watertown. Excellent service, clean environment and good food. The burrata salad was probably one of the best I have ever had…..the burrata was top quality, the beets and greens fresh, and the walnuts were plentiful. Chicken marsala with risotto was very good, as was the chicken parm. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Food is good if they decide you are worthy of a table. They wouldn't seat me in the dining room a few Saturdays ago because they were "totally booked" even though the place looked empty. I sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes searching my phone for another place to eat and not a single person went inside. Masks are required here again by the way.
Best food I've had in this area since we go here a month ago. Eggplant param was tender and delicious. Pizza was also very tasty and I am a picky pizza lover having grown up in southern CT. We'll definitely try to hit this place again before leaving. The fresh bread and specialty salads were also a delight.
Group dinner with co-workers. We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table, but the food made it worth the wait. Arancini and goat cheese fritter appetizers were creamy and cooked perfectly. Everyone loved the entrees and not much left to take home. This was a great dinner experience!!
Absolutely loved the Lobster Bisque. The service was excellent. Prompt, but let us eat at our own pace. My husband had the duck wings (and ate them all as they were that good), and his salmon was cooked perfectly. I had Veal Melanzane which was delicious and the Tiramisu was some of the best I have eaten. We plan on going again.
We travel through Watertown a few times each year on our roundtrip visit with family. We make sure that on the way out, and on the way home, we dine at Pete’s. The food is excellent, and there are ample choices on the menu. We have never been disappointed. The service is great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. You will want to make a reservation because it’s always busy – for good reason! We dined there last night and look forward to being there again next Monday on our way back home.
Wife got a gift certificate for Pete's as a retirement gift. It sat in her purse for many months. We finally went and the food was outstanding. Since then we've gone back a few times. I've been to other Italian restaurants throughout the country. And this one in Watertown of all places is one of the best I've ever gone. It's definitely a go to place to have a great meal and great service.
Absolutely incredible dining at Pete’s Trattoria. The best crab bisque I’ve ever had! Staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the Sicilian Cod. The rest of our party had the evening’s specials and they were delicious. Portions are ample and the atmosphere is perfect. Kudos to the entire staff at Pete’s for a great dining experience.
