Great food, the restaurant is the same as it was 50 years ago. We always stop there when we're in town!
I have been going here for over 30 years now and the food is still excellent. Family owned restaurants are hard to find. I go here as much as I can instead of the franchises!!
I have never seen a restaurant care so much about cleaning. Even though it doesn't look ideal hotspot it was most definitely clean. The food was pretty mediocre but it still was good and the waitress was amazing.
Caution when eating here. I had the steak and ciabatta sandwich. Bedsides being almost tasteless it gave me 48 hours of ‘Montezuma’s Revenge’. My wife was OK with her spaghetti for the sole reason the meatballs were homemade, but when the menu advertises al dente spaghetti it should not come out as soft angle hair. The staff was friendly and the restaurant cute and clean.
Great food and atmosphere, only suggestions are maybe some light music and a drink menu ? very friendly staff
The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere fantastic. Everytime you step into the Crystal Restaurant it's like going back in time. Everything is so unique it makes late night dinners, or quick lunch pickups feel so much more exciting! The staff are very kind, and always willing to share a story with you. If you aren't sure what to get when looking at their menu, try the gyro!
One of the oldest and longest running establishments in Watertown. It's a step back in time from the hand laid floor tiles to the wooden booths and so much more. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. During the holiday season they serve up their own original drink recipe for a "Tom & Jerry" plus some with a new twist. Slow down your day with a stop that takes you back to the good old days in Watertown, NY.
The ambiance of the restaurant will take you back in time, I love it. The food is ok but what it kill it, is the wait. We had to wait for an hour for our food.
This was first and last time we will ever go there. After seating and taking orders ( only 2 other tables were seated, and already eating) it took 45 mins to get the appetizer- after reminding the waiter who was very busy gossiping with his fellow servers in the corner- told our lunch would be another 10 minutes and watching the table who came in after us get their meal, and the bar tender bring his own plate of food behind the bar. If you decide to go I will at least recommend you avoid the "lamb" gyro. It was gray, flavorless- possibly freezerburnt and not like any Lamb I have EVER seen. I mentioned that it was not good and I would not be eating it, he offered something else but honestly the whole experience put a sour taste in my mouth and I just wanted to leave. I also didn't have an hour to wait for another mediocre sandwich. generally when a customer is unhappy its usually comped on the bill, no we were charged. I asked about it and was told he would ask the cook, only to come out and say no, it won't be taken off the bill. I just wanted out of this establishment so I paid, I even tipped but I will 1000% share my awful experience with everyone who mentions this place. Fool me once, shame on you but never again.
