Ordered and received food; however one would think utensils would have arrived (a) without asking and (b) before the food arrived. Ordered water and soft drinks; apparently straws and optional; not at any other Cracker Barrel I’ve eaten at. Slow and forgetful service was tipped accordingly ???
Very good experience as usual. The staff at this location were fantastic. The value for the money was great as well. Had the steak breakfast and the steak was super tender and great portion. Both of us that took steak had it cooked EXACTLY as requested! Chef was spot on! The garlic rub is delicious and the steak is delicious on its own. Wish we knew waitress’ name but she didn’t have a name tag. She was super friendly and offered great service.
Cracker Barrel fans will be very familiar with this place. New to me was the addition of alcoholic beverages to the menu!Maybe could you offer some calorie careful menu options too?The store is always fun for candy stock ups... though I wish you had more local area crafts and options (ie Herkimer)Great day trip option!!
If I could put less than 1 star, I definitely would. I got the bloodiest tampon looking steak when I asked for medium well. I was cool with tryna be understanding, but it took forever when they weren’t that real busy. By the time I got my plate it was to-go because my family had already finished. The to-go plate didn’t even have all the sides and I had to ask to include it on-top of that. I was not looking to get food poisoning from the sides soaking in the blood and I really only had a few bites. Really just sat there for about 2 hours for a to-go meal. Left hungry.Not sure where tonight went wrong with the restaurant but I know the table beside us were having a few issues as well. The other reviews don’t seem to be that bad either but wow, not happy right now.
I was in a tour group of about 35 folks and although this restaurant didn't take reservations, they were aware we were coming. The seated us in groups of 4 rather quickly amd the service was relatively fast considering they were busy even without us coming through. I've never really been a fan of Cracker Barrel, although some folks I know love this chain. I went with something quick and easy, the Southern Fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes amd Cole slaw. I the meal comes with 1 each breast, thigh, wing and drum stick. I prefer dark meat so I asked if they could sub dark meat for the white pieces but they aren't allowed to do that. The skin on the chicken was a bit hard for me and the chicken itself wasn't as juicy as I'd hoped it would be. Once again, I will state that the service was excellent, I just don't personally care for the food at this restaurant.
I very much dislike the food I have been served here . I have been multiple times for the simple fact that most of my cohorts seem to love it! Which brings me back to this, the atmosphere is great, friendly and comfortable, but the food is mediocre. Pancakes are not hot, and taste like bacon grease, the famed mac and cheese was Velveeta, great when you're at home and in a pinch. This is perfect home away from home for many of my southern friends, but my Yankee self might rather eat McDonald's.
Cracker Barrel used to be my favorite place to eat at as a child, until I kept running into rundown establishments. But something kept telling me to give this one a try and I am not at ALL disappointed! I'm glad I listened to my soul! The food was delicious! All the staff I engaged with were all kind! And of course, who can not talk about the store! Cute items! Love love LOVE! Will be making this a family restaurant for sure!
This was absolutely the worst experience and meal we have ever had.My eggs were cold. My fried apples were barely warm, my husband's French toast were also barely warm and were like pieces of toast not battered.We had one napkin to share and were never brought more. My husband's drink was never refilled. Our Waitress could not be bothered with our table at all.We literally sat for well over 1/2 hour and our appetizer was brought with our food instead of prior to.Terrible experience!!
