I recommend everything about this place. The food is 5 stars!! It is the freshest food ever. Customer service is amazing. It is on the pricy side but it is Definitely worth it. The portions are amazing. It is packaged so well. We went twice in one weekend and ordered food to take back to Delaware with us. My husband said he’s gonna call and find out if we can order trays of food. That’s how good it was lol Thank you Chef B - you gained a customer for life
UPDATED REVIEW: I want to start by saying the customer service (on my first visit) was AMAZING. Peggy is great! So far, I’ve tried Curry Shrimp Roti, Jerk Shrimp Roti, Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, and Pholourie. I’ve also tried the Chef Mix drink! So favorful. One of my critiques is that the drinks are pricey for the size. The Chef Mix is my favorite, but $15 for a non-alcoholic drink is a little much for me. They also have a weird payment policy in my opinion. They want credit card information to be sent over the phone which is a bit of a security concern for me. Despite coming to the restaurant (literally offered to hand them my card), they still wanted me to give my card information over the phone. That was weird.
Drove by late at night, before closing and luckily was able to place an order! Peggy is super sweet and I was absolutely delighted at how attentive and helpful she was when I placed my order. I truly value places with great customer service. Customer service was PHENOMENAL! Her personality is super welcoming love the way she is friendly, informative and wanting to get to know you more. She took extra time to make my first experience a memorable one! May you and everyone at Chef B’s be filled with peace love and light ! Will be back for SURE!!! Amazing food and service! Oxtails were so good! Definitely the best halal Caribbean food I’ve ever had. Placed our order with Bill and he went above and beyond for us! Will definitely be coming back.
This is my first time coming here and I must say they are the best! Their pina passion drink tastes amazing as well as their pumpkin soup. Their customer service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend anybody looking for a good vegan spot to try out Chef B
Stopped by after the gym after googling food spots around the area. Saw that Chef’s B was highly rated and decided to stop by. Due to COVID you have to place your order either over the phone or online and wait outside for your food. After ordering over the phone I was met by the terrific hostess Peggy at the front door where we chatted a bit as I payed for the food. Peggy was really wonderful and I was even offered a complimentary drink as it was my first time there. I must say as someone who has been eating Caribbean food my entire life, this is definitely a top tier spot. 11/10 recommend and I will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area.
Amazing customer service! I highly recommend supporting this business. As a first time customer Peggy was very hospitable, knowledgeable and helpful with placing our order. I felt confident our food would exceed our expectations and it did! We ordered the oxtail meal and shrimp doubles. If you’re looking to get a drink I recommend the sorrel drink. Everything was well seasoned and made fresh to order. You have earned a forever customer by customer service alone. I wish we knew about this gem in Long Island sooner! As Dominicans we approve this establishment ???? :) thank you so much Chef Bs for making us feel so welcomed, we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Today was the first time I tried Chef B’s. I saw the reviews online and decided to try it. My husband and I placed our order on the phone with Peggy. She was extremely nice and answered our questions without hesitation. We ordered the roti with oxtail, roti with the bone in curry goat, the vegan Mac pie, etc. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back again. The oxtail and curry goat was soft and well seasoned. My husband is Nigerian ?? and I’m Dominican ?? so it was a blessing to find a restaurant that we both enjoyed. Peggy even gave us complementary drinks (Passion Fruit), as well as bread pudding. Thanks Peggy for making this a great experience for us. The food and service was great and deserves the 5 stars.
My first visit was a great experience. You order from outside and wait for the food...understandable during this COVID season...The hostess Peggy was PHENOMENAL. She not only explained the menu but had a wonderful personality. (Give yourself time when you order but the food is EXCEPTIONAL and made with love?). I ordered oxtail with rice and peas and pumpkin and curry shrimp. Both platters were HEALTHY portions . I also ordered pineapple guava and passion colada beverages which were non-alcoholic and tasty.
