Authentic Dominican republic food.
Recommended by Dominican people who were staying at the same B&B, and very happy that we dined there. We ordered Pachuga Del Valle, Ave Marina and Fillete de Pescado a la Fransesa and everything was very tasty. They serve generous portions, too.
Food is good, but double check your bill.
Stopped to eat here on our way to Michigan via Utica based on reviews. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was excellent. This is a unique place and made for a pleasurable evening
We stopped here lunch coming back from the Adirondacks. SERENDIPITY!The beef wrapped in bacon with a pesto sauce was brilliant. Enjoyed the mofongo with the garlic sauce..Pity we live so far away.
An unassuming restaurant serving up delicious Dominican food. Extremely reasonable prices. Stopped here for lunch while on a road trip. The bacon wrapped beef in pesto sauce was a revelation. We had the Mofongo, which is fried plantains mashed together with beef, chicken, cheese, or pork, and served with your choice of sauce. All 3 of us chose the garlic sauce..Delicious. Looking for unique food that tastes great. Here's the place.
I was at this restaurant with a couple of friends. The food was great! Unfortunately, the food took over an hour and the service from the waiter was horrible. Since the time we've walked through the door her attitude was bad.To cut it short, at the end we asked for the bill and it was a big one too. We received just one and we asked to split it, she reply; "that's not possible, it's already in the system and there's nothing I can do." Then, we proceeded to just check how much we had spent in each meal and there was an extra charge of $50. When we asked the lady she responded; "that's a service fee that the restaurant charges and that's not the tip, there's nothing I can do." We told her that we needed to speak to the manager or the owner and she got furious; "you have to pay for that bill, it's what you guys ordered and what do you think that I'm going to call the manager on a Sunday? You're all crazy." Also, we check the prices on the menu to see if there was a mistake on the prices and to our surprise, those numbers didn't match the receipt either. I ask her about that as well and she reply with; "we changed out menu and the prices and the new menu didn't get here yet."We ended paying for the bill but because of the service, attitude and the extra charges from the prices on the menu and the service fee that they're charging that's not the tip. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! unless you want to have a headache.
