Pizza Italian Chicken Wings

Stopped in the area overnight and this was right next door. We both got pizza. He had a chicken pizza and I had an Angelo. Mine was amazing, prosciutto and figs! Great flavor! A do-over if we're in the area again!

Restaurant is on a busy street so patio seating is noisy. Tasty local food items included Utica Greens (called Greens Morelle here) and Chicken Riggies. An order of the latter was enough for several people, and I noticed other diners' entrees were similarly large. Service was very slow but the food was worth the wait. Restaurant is a short walk from Fairfield Inn.

Some of our party was Late due to traffic. The staff was very accommodating! Food was great. Venue is a little loud for the hearing aid group that we are but otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Best Dirty martini ever!

Tavolo is a high end food establishment. They offer a wide variety of Italian food to choose from. We got a complementary basket of garlic bread at the table with some fresh tomato sauce on the side. I ordered the Bruschetta classica which was the highlight of my meal. Tasty tomatoes cheese and that special sauce they put on it. Would highly recommend it. Then I had the Pasta Purses dish with a nice white cream sauce. The cheese was top tier though I would add a bit of pepper to my dish. My friends ordered lasagna and Tavolo salad. Salad was really good but lasagna was lacking flavor. The tomatoes made it ok. But it was nothing to write home about. Overall, I would recommend you visit Tavolo and try it for yourself.

Nice outdoor covered patio for a summer lunch.

We are fortunate in the central New York area to have so many choices for good food and reasonable prices. Tavolo is another example. Great food and great service.

Monday June 20, 2022:Inside was virtually empty.Outside patio was 3/4 full.12:50 PM: Placed order1:00 PM: 3 ladies sat beside us.1:10 PM: 3 ladies beside us placed order1:15 PM: Server refilled our iced tea and said our order wouldn't be more than a couple of minutes.1:25 PM: 3 ladies beside us got their order and started to eat.1:30 PM: We walked out, disgusted at the fact the waitress forgot to place our order with the kitchen. We gave another server $10 to cover the iced teas and almost inedible spicy hot green appetizer,1:35 PM: As my girlfriend left the restroom to return to our car, she saw the waitress finally leave the kitchen with our order.45 minutes to prepare standard lunch fare? No. Either the kitchen messed up or the server didn't place the order. Reading some of the other negative reviews here, it seems we are not the only guests whose orders were lost.Another point: Although there were 3 - 4 empty tables in the shaded area, the wait staff insisted on seating new guests on the sunny and hot unshaded outer sections. Not all stayed and most left.Management: You have some serious training and attitude issues you need to deal with.

Why weren’t there daily specials like posted on Facebook?

Service was very good I’ve eaten there before and had excellent food this time the food was OK but not great

I generally do not write bad reviews but this is a rare exception. I was deeply disappointed with our dining experience at Tavolo. It was about 4:45pm on Sunday, June 20th (yes, Father's Day). The dining room was at about 50% capacity, the bar area was empty, and there was one couple seated on the outside patio where we chose to sit. I noted that their server came to their table multiple times to refresh drinks, bring more bread, and those kinds of things before our server even showed up and took our soft-drink orders. It seemed to take a long time before she returned with the drinks. The server could not answer questions about the menu items. We ordered some salads, a couple of appetizers and our dinners. We said to bring things out as they were ready. While we were waiting, 3 other tables on the patio were filled, received drinks, bread, and had their orders taken before the first of our appetizers arrived. Salads were delivered to another table before our second appetizer arrived. It was after 6pm when our dinners finally arrived. (We never did get our salads.) The food was good - and I say "was" because by the time it got to our table it wasn't as good as it could have been. It really felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The melted cheese on the parmigiana was skinned over and hard. The food was hotter at the top than in the middle or bottom. It did not have the 'freshly cooked' look, texture, and taste that one expects for a $25+ entree. In the course of the meal, we were able to get 2 drink refills, one of which because another table's server got them for us. Seeing our server was something of a rarity. While we were there, at least 2 tables we could see through the window arrived, were seated, fed, paid and left before we did. I was a big fan of the "old" Chesterfields - it was a go-to place for us. If I can convince the family to give Tavolo a second try, I'll let you know. But right now - eight thumbs down!
