It’s my birthday! ❤️ came here with my boyfriend for brunch had the flight of mimosa ( okay 2 flights but I shared) and the buffalo chicken panini ❤️ delicious. Shane was our server and he was awesome! The lady next to me just told him he has a very nice way about him and I agree! Thanks for an amazing birthday lunch! ❤️
My party of 3 went to the Whistling Kettle in Troy for brunch today. We were seated in a booth in the adjoining back room. The food was fine, but at the end of our meal I saw what looked like a giant cockroach or tiny mouse run across the floor below our booth. We notified our waitress and asked to pack up our food. When I asked the waitress if they were aware of the situation, she smiled and did not respond. Instead, our waitress told me that she would notify the managers. She subsequently told me that one of the managers would stop by and talk to us. Guess what? No one stopped by to address this issue at all and we were never told why. At the time when this happened, the brunch rush had already subsided. It's a shame that Whistling Kettle and it's management was not able to handle this situation properly. We will not be returning. I write this review to caution you about the lack of cleanliness, pests and irresponsible management. Good luck.
Walking around looking for a place to eat and went in. Our family had a sandwich, sconewich and a crepe. My son and I added the roasted pepper Gruyère soup. So good. They have a vegan menu too, which helps for food allergies
Our family of 4 had brunch here on a Sunday while visiting our daughter who lives in the area. Two of us got the Afternoon Tea tower which was a lot of food. the others got sandwiches. The food was very good but the menu lacks a few more basic items for those who aren't for the fancier plates. The atmosphere was pleasant and it got crowded pretty quickly. We were a little sticker shocked when the bill came though and it was more like a dinner and cocktail sized check. Based on the food I do recommend that you try it, but be prepared for the prices.
Place is super cute. Great brunch spot . Menu offers a few items but they do them very well. Great Tea and cocktail selections. Wait staff is super nice and accommodating and friendly.
Horrible customer service. I specifically requested guacamole on my sandwich, and it was not provided. Unfortunately I did not realize this until I was home.I contacted the restaurant and the employee became argumentative and combative with me. She argued that since I did not pay for the guacamole, that it didn't matter whether or not it was on the sandwich or included. She scoffed at me when I requested a refund for the sandwich, which we did not eat. She offered to provide a side of guacamole for me, if I were to come back to the restaurant, and STILL pay for the guacamole (because apparently my time is worthless, and the sandwich would have been cold at that point anyways.). I told her thanks, but it wasn't worth the half hour round trip. What a joke.ON TOP OF ALL THIS, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO SUB OUT AN ITEM ON MY SANDWICH, AND APPARENTLY THEY STILL WANTED ME TO PAY MORE!Thanks for the sandwich of cheese and roasted red peppers. We were so thrilled when we threw it in the trash can.Horrible, horrible customer service. We will never go back there even if they gave away free food.On top of all this, we paid $12 each for sandwiches that are the size of a lunchables meal at best.**UPDATE**Ironically enough, we realized that the boxes are labeled as "satisfaction guaranteed"... Did anyone inform the employees of this? I demand a refund on my meal otherwise we will never return.
Total Random find turned into random Mommy Daughter Date in the most random place! It was a super cute spot which appeared like a hole in the wall until you walk in a realize how large it actually is. Overall, staff were pretty friendly and helpful, especially our server (Ashley)! They definitely have some vegan options, had a whole separate menu! Great, but definitely need to build on that! It had 4 different salads but only one vegan dressing, two paninis, and 3 crepe options. But my mom and I were most impressed with the Tea Flight!! We enjoyed it thoroughly and all the teas were AMAZING ? Check it out if you’re ever in the area, but they also have two other locations!
Had a good time. The menu was a little limited but the options they did have were very good. I had the lobster bisque and both hot and iced tea. My friend got the hot chocolate and one of the cakes. The tea varies are great. The service was very friendly. It is your classic chill and work spot!
First time coming here. Our server, AJ, was spectacular and kind. Ordered the ratatouille and goat cheese panini with a side of the roasted red pepper soup. It was all so delicious. A little pricey but, worth the service and food. And their chai latte was divine. Would come back just for the server.
Delicious and diverse menu. There were 5 in our party....treating grandmas to lunch. We all loved our food and drinks. Brandon, our server, was very friendly and helpful. Three of us ordered the afternoon tea and were so happy we did! Crepe sandwich was awesome as were the soups. Yummy scones and cream too! Will definitely be back!
