Normally I'd go for 5 stars. It's my favorite breakfast spot. Unfortunately there was some challenge in the kitchen and it took much more time than usual fir our food to arrive.

I've only had coffee here but it sure is a nice place to hang out. I like the music they play. There are lots of tables, not too close to each other, and an area with comfy cushiony chairs to sit and relax. When it's cold out, there's a stove in the sitting area to keep things cozy. Everyone who works - and visits - this place seems friendly. And the coffee is very good! They let me use my own mug too.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The decor is fantastic: warm, woody, intimate. Our sandwiches were delicious. Had tea instead of coffee. Fun tea selection. The server who was also the cashier was so friendly and helpful.

Stopped in today and ordered a large iced hazelnut latte first time inside figured I support a local business instead starbucks. The latte was great! staff not so much. I live in the area and was hoping to find a FRIENDLY local coffee shop that I could go to however the staff was much more interested in their regular customers letting me know I was not welcome!

I was a long time regular at Spill’n. Before the mask era the owner definitely would recognize me as the girl who came in to get a cinnamon bun just as they were coming out of the over. This was my go-to morning place, meeting place, out of town visitor stop, and generally a nice place to hang out. About 8 months ago I broke my hip and had to switch to delivery, which was unfortunate because I did like the atmosphere there. Initially they were on grubhub. I ordered the same thing every time, full story of French toast with bacon, slice of that delicious baked pineapple bread. It was always good. Then they switched to doordash. I’m nothing if not loyal so I followed them over there. My first order on doordash was a travesty. They forgot the bacon. There was no syrup. For some reason doordash was charging $13 for a short stack which is normally $5.99. I spent $30 and received 2 cold pieces of bread, Oh delivered to the wrong address as well. I rarely complain but this just unacceptable and I know it wasn’t up to their standards either. So, I called. I spoke to the owner. He said, “come in and we will make it right.” I still have a broken hip remember and I’ve spent $1000s at this place and brought them so many new customers. So I went in the next day. I was really expecting them to be apologetic and maybe through in an extra pastry or something but the owner definitely seemed really p!ssed at me. Like I was trying to get something for free. It’s just so unfortunate because I really loved that place. I most definitely will NEVER order anything from doordash again and I think Spill’n will have to wait til hip is better and I can go in person.

Love this place. Always so nice and polite. Great food, hot drinks and baked goods. Chili is the best though!

Clean, unique layout. Order before you find a seat. There are some creative twists on old favorites such as their Funky Home fries. They are delicious! Service was very good, polite and professional. The only reason I'm eating a 4 star is because of parking. There is very limited space as this cafe is located in the heart of Troy's business district. We had to park 3 blocks away, but it was worth it.

The food and coffee here is great, however the staff and wait times are definitely less than great. Don’t bother ordering ahead here, they will tell you a time and then it will take twice as long as they say. Unfortunately this has happened too many times not to mention, and when customers are getting frustrated that the wait time is ridiculous for coffee and a bagel the staff will make comments like “they think the food is going to appear with magic”, whereas I think an hour and 15 minute wait for a coffee and bagel that was ordered ahead of time is just a bit unacceptable (was told it would be done in 30 minutes).

I come here for brunch with friends every weekend. They treat us well, let us move tables together, and have delicious breakfast specials and coffee. Not a ton of seating but usually enough for a small party, and we make it work.

This was our best breakfast in Troy, during our one week vacation. Everything was just right: friendly, welcoming, smiley and accommodating staff, great coffee, delicious food and super pleasant ambiance. It also felt like a much desired change from a couple other places we tried in the area, which were quite disappointing. Thank you Allison for your wonderful service, and Rudy - thank you for making this such a great place! We can’t wait to be back tomorrow morning - and on our next visits to Troy!
