nice setup, friendly service and great quality food at a reasonable price. portion size is good and i enjoyed every item i tried. brisket, chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, potato salad and cornbread.
Dinosaur BBQ was "Outta the Park" great BBQ food. And the Wait Staff was very Polite & Punctual.
I was amazed at how big the restaurant was. Unfortunately they seemed short staffed and waitresses had to run all around. Ours was still very attentive.I shared a sampler with friends and everything was very good but nothing stood out as amazing. I liked how they put their own spin on the Mac and cheese and cornbread; both were different from what I am used to. The main BBQ meats were average.
Unfortunately it rained when we stayed in Troy for the night, but we still had a nice view on the river from our table. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly. To recommend!
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and finally made it. My wife and I was seated outside with a nice view of the river. We were promptly greeted by our server and drinks were ordered. We had the poutine for and appetizer and the rib dinner for two. The entree came with 4 sides, and they were good. Emma our server was very professional and nice. The reason I rated the restaurant 4 stars was the the ribs were on the dry side and some of the ribs had excess gristle.
I have to walk in crutches and loved the fact that this restaurant is handicapped friendly with a very easy ramp to walk on, and the seating was easy to get into and walk out of. The staff were incredibly kind to find me a table even though I was a walk in, made me feel like a person.The food was fantastic, I ordered the chicken wings and ribs combo, and the Mac and cheese side was perfect. Next time I hope to bring my family and would recommend anyone check out this local favorite when in Troy, NY.
Dinosaur is one of the best BBQ spots out there with amazing food and service. The staff is super friendly and always fast. The pull pork is my favorite and it’s right in the water so great views too!

Love the location of this place and the atmosphere during the day is really family friendly and fun. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and I loved taking a walk along the Hudson after lunch.
