Let me make it simple, do not eat here! Save yourself the money and the trouble! I went for breakfast, and they gave me butter packets that had clearly already been on someone else's plate-the packets had jelly remnants all over them. The home fries that came with my meal were cold when they were served. They had 1 bottle of ketchup for my section of the restaurant! The waitress took it from another table to give it to us, and she took it from us (without asking) before we were done with it to give it to another table! She was very unfriendly and not professional. This place is just scary! DO NOT EAT HERE, save yourself the time and the trouble! I would never set foot in this place again! I was nice, I paid my bill and left a tip; but, I wouldn't go back there if I was at risk of starving. What kind of place gives you sticky butter packets that have clearly already been on another plate, without at least wiping them if you're going to re-use them? They shouldn't even be re-used, but... Also, 1 ketchup bottle for the entire section, so you need to take and pass it from table to table? The owner must be really cheap! The place was just not clean and borderline unsanitary. I wouldn't eat there. If you choose to eat there, good luck! I just considered my money lost and moved on! You will not get anything close for what you pay! We only went there because other places wound up unexpectedly closed; and, as I said, I would NEVER go there again! Good luck if you do! It was disgusting!

For us this diner is a landmark when traveling through Albany and on to New England. We have stopped here a few times and are happy that it is pretty much consistent each time. They have the full Diner menu with a special or two each day. On this visit, my wife opted for the turkey dinner and I had the broiled seafood combo special. Both meals came with fresh rolls, soup or salad and two veggies. My wife had the cheddar cream of broccoli soup, and I opted for the Manhattan chowder. Everything was good - the meals were hot, portions were more than enough and the price reasonable. The ambiance is normal "Highway Diner-esque." Before leaving we bought an eclair to go: we shared it later and it was really good. Odds are we will visit again in the future and expect that it will be unchanged - a reliable quick stop for decent food, excellent service and not breaking the bank.

We went here with our inlaws this week for lunch. Before I say anything let me mention I actually do love going to diners. It's such a cool part of Americana. I don't expect it to be amazing nor do I think it should compare to fine dining. I get it.However this place...omg...horrible. It looks cute inside like any country diner would. I'm good with that. But the food was pretty bad.The menu on the placemats we were told is not the menu. ok. So we we're given another paper, which is the real menu (because this we are told has listed what they do currently offer the other doesnt) . Again ok, I can roll with that. Now, 2 of us don't eat meat or dairy so we actually chose this place because they have veggie burgers on the menu. (I checked before coming and besides all diners have a veggie burger.) We've been to many in the Capital District and out of state too.Well... after ordering the waitress comes back and says they don't have veggie burgers and she doesnt know why. Ughh...I'm a trooper, so even though Im disappointed because we only came here specifically for that...I take one for the team and decide to just get the blueberry pancakes. In fact we all order them. Should be fine right...It's pretty standard. Add some home fries and were good.Um...NO!What came was plain pancakes. No blueberries in them to be found. I'm thinking it's just a mistake. Nope, next arrives a separate dish with some truely tasteless thick blueberry pie filling from. a can. Yes, I know it's from a can because my grandmother used to use this exact same stuff in her pies that no one ate. W e all thought it was just awful. Even the pancakes were dry and bland. That's honestly the first time I've ever not finished pancakes...ever. I ate one myself and all 4 of us left our plates unfinished.I just need to add that the waitress was...well she was her. Not nice, not mean, didn't care much about anything really. I say this because I am in customer service in my own business. My family also owned a restaurant as well. I personally treat my customers as does my family very well. It's not hard to do. She would never work in my business nor the restaurant after seeing her demeanor. She is burnt out and should retire. I'm not saying this to be mean, she is hurting an already struggling business.Truth be told I am local. I hear so many bad things about the diner but I didn't believe it. I wanted to give them a chance to ...I wanted it to be at least reasonably good. But instead it was unfortunatly so bad that none of us would ever go back. That's really sad. It won't be hard to correct what's wrong.Lastly...the bathrooms... holy...really gross. Come on, that's important.Sorry this is a bad review. I hope he owner takes heed because it could be a nice place if they cared to up their game just a little.I

Loved their french onion soup and chocolate eclairs! You still need a mask when you walk in, but not when seated.

Wicked good service. Had a perfect, crispy Belgian waffle with vanilla ice cream. Will visit again for lunch in the future.

The furniture was well kept and cozy. The waiting staff were attentive but just a bit slow at refilling, but it was busy as it should be on a Sunday morning. The food was good and the portions were perfect. I'd also like to add the prices for everything on the menu make it a perfect place for college students to have a nice diner experience without hurting their wallet. Overall, great experience and I'll be coming again to try their dinner food sometime.

The cups are very very dirty. Food was below par and we will not be returning. Staff was friendly but the overall experience for the price was a zero star. Stay away.

I have been here a few times now, and the food and the staff have always been outstanding. They accommodated our large group for a work meeting with no problem and excellent service. The pastries made on site are also a big plus, don't miss the eclairs or the house made soups!

I was not happy about my meal here. I ordered waffles with bacon. There wasnt any flavor in my waffles and the syrup wasnt even real. ? Did not enjoy their water down maple syrup. The food came quickly but it was cold.

At least the flies from the summer time seem to have gone away because it's winter out, but my husband and I have tried this diner more than once and we keep getting a waitress named Torine. More than once she has made personal, rude comments towards either of us. She is clearly self-conscience about her age because of the way she acts, dresses, and serves food with her hair down and bangs in her face (lol!). We're done going here because of it. Plus my drink tasted like stale bread. This place is terrible and disgusting, just like that weird waitress.
