Pizza tastes good. Quite floppy and oily though

This is an excellent restaurant. It is located in a struggling Troy neighborhood but you will be transported to Istanbul when you get your food. Every dish we have had is excellently flavored, complex and of course delicious. Best lavash anywhere.

This is a modest appearing place, especially from the outside. The service is friendly, and the food is amazing. If you like Turkish and Greek food, this restaurant is not to be missed. Everything I had at a recent lunch was among the best Turkish food I've tasted, and the baklava especially was amazing, very nutty, pistachios rather than walnuts, and of course sweet, but unlike some others, not excessively so. I stopped here on a trip from Ohio to Vermont and Massachusetts and I'm going to time the trip back so as to be able to stop by again. As I said, not to be missed.

Low key, . diner atmosphere. Walk in and see a great display of salads and the wood fire oven beyond. Food was fantastic, recommend trying the salad sampler with bread and yogurt for a variety of flavors. We are pleasantly stuffed with food left over.

This is the best Turkish food we’ve had in the Capital area. Their mixed Kebabs and Iskander curry were cooked to perfection, but what really took us back to some of the best places we’ve dined at Singapore Arab street (famous for Turkish food) was their mixed salad/dip plates.

Been there many times....food never fails my expectations for authentic, modestly spiced turkish food... highly recommend them....even if their prices are a little on the high side

As others have said this place is unimpressive on the outside but great inside. Straight shot out 15th St. from campus. We parked on the street, can't say whether they had a lot. A fine place to find in a rather tough city like Troy. It's true what they say about figuring out what the dishes are from the menu but our server was very patient with us and took everything with good humor. Most interesting place I've found in Troy though we only get here once a year. Stuff is fresh and well prepared, everyone is polite. I suppose you have to like a Mediterranean cuisine but even if you're not familiar I think this is the place to give it a try. We'll go back.

The quality of food and the look of this place from outside is poles apart. It looks like a shabby place from outside but its really huge and it was fairly empty. They served a large bread with Tzatziki sauce as we sat down. The entrees were really delicious and the desert was really nice. The person running it gave a really educated description of the item which looked alien to me from the menu.

This building appears nondescript on the outside, although there's a large, vertical red & white neon sign out front saying Ali Baba. The atmosphere inside is casual with tables & chairs. Note they do not offer a special lunch menu. We were 1st served freshly made, warm Lavaş bread topped with white & black sesame seeds along with a side of what the waitress described as a "white sauce" - delicious! My friend & I ordered the Chicken Iskender & Chicken Guvech & split them. The former is a kebab style dish with tomato sauce, yogurt, & spices. The latter is listed as a wood-fired oven dish, a chicken stew casserole containing eggplant, tomato, onion, green pepper & cheese. Both were YUMMY! Although we were a little concerned about parking, 15th Street isn't like parking on Broadway in downtown Troy. We were able to find street parking. Heads up that while their menu provides pictures of many of their dishes, it doesn't include descriptions of what's in them. Therefore, if you're not familiar with Turkish cooking, I suggest you also ask for their take-out menu, which does provide descriptions of most of the dishes. Lastly, the owner was very nice, calling me at the phone number I'd provided him, after he searched for one of my earrings. It had broken off while I was in the restroom & went down the drain! When I returned to pick it up, he even said he'd cleaned it...

Stopped on our way home from a fall trip to New England. It was such a treat to find something good that was not the usual pub fare or Italian food from eating on the road. Delicious flavors, definitely the best Mediterranean Food I have ever had. Wood fired oven made the bread terrific, place was busy but we got our food very quickly.
