I’ve been frequenting this store since I was a kid (under various mgmts) and have lived in the area for almost 30 years. The store is now ridiculously over priced and to add insult to injury the cashier didn’t even acknowledge us while cashing out- oh and get this!!!- WASNT EVEN WEARING A MASK!!!!!! You’re better off at the corner store on the next block across from Alto or making the hike to Grabbys. Never again!!!!
No prices on anything, very limited selected, and definitely not enough that I would've called this a grocery store. Its more like a convenience store/gas station than a grocery. Lady was nice, but I decided not to buy anything (didn't experience the overcharging frequently mentioned) so 2 stars instead of 1.
Closed at 9;34 again while the sign taped to the door says 10:00 PM.
Guy tried to charge me 15 bucks on potatoes and a bottle of water. I told him that wasn't the right price, and that it was a shame he was trying to overcharge me. Then he charged me four dollars. I think of all the times I've probably been overcharged by all these little bodegas in the Westcott neighborhood...
