We finally got to the Cider Mill and it did not disappoint! Service was incredible from the pre dinner drinks at the bar, to the numerous wait staff at our table. Now the food……burrata with hot honey, grilled peaches & toasted walnut incredible! Next my in house smoked salmon over farfalle, fresh peas, broccoli, slivered peppers, and an incredible lemon dill cream sauce. Hubby had bbq brisket with a pineapple cole slaw. Birthday crème brûlée sent home. Great vibe, great service, great food..what else do you need?
Wonderful time at the Cider Miller! Friendly staff, good friends and great food!
The meal was terrific our waitress was fantastic I was with my family and there’s nothing better than that! Ty Joe and Kristy for taking me there
We visited the Cider Mill a third time for our anniversary last week. We sat outside on their new patio. Service was great & our meals, Roasted Salmon & the Crispy Tofu Stir-fry were delicious. With side salads, one beer & 4 glasses of house wine & one dessert the total was just over $100. They even gave us a complimentary split of champagne as my wife mentioned our anniversary when asking for a patio table while making the reservation! Class.
Super cute spot in the Syracuse area! Relaxed and homey atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Cocktails were all good especially the strawberry jalapeño mule, they do a great job with that! The star of the show were the lamb chop lollipops, uniquely sweet flavor which I don’t typically find. I love that the deviled eggs were dressed with lox and everything bagel seasoning. Entrees came out great as well, they have an option to substitute for beyond meat patties on any of their burger options. Last but not least, desserts were worth getting even though my boyfriend and I were both stuffed! The cider donut one seems to be the most popular. All around great experience!
Did not offer white zinfandel or Stella beer. Service was terrible, asked for ice with water and it never came. Took exactly one hour for the entree to arrive - We opted for a Caesar salad instead of an appetizer - good thing or else our dinner would have taken 2 hours. We saw other tables wait for the food to arrive as well. Food was plentiful but not spectacular for the price. It was quite noticeable the staff was inexperienced and that management did not know how to handle large parties of 6 or 8 efficiently.
Food was prepared deliciously and presented well. Creative drinks and selected variety in wine list. Outdoor atmosphere was inviting. Service was lacking and inattentive for amount spent which left us disappointed.
My daughter and I sent to the Cider Mill before going to the Landmark Theater to see Cats -- so we were there earlier in the evening. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. We shared the deviled egg appetizer which was really great. The filling was the best I've ever had in a deviled egg, and the seasoning and lox made it all the better. My daughter had the sirloin, with potatoes and green beans and said it was really good, cooked to an excellent medium well. For dinner, I had the oysters and lamp chop lollipops -- outstanding! The only downside was in what I guess would be called, atmosphere. The main dining room was not full, but they seated us in a back room where the only other people were doing a wedding tasting. They were loud, obnoxious, whiny, ass*&^%. We couldn't hear one another talk because they were so deafening with their meeting with their booming voiced wedding planner, who had an extremely loud and obnoxious demeanor. We now know every detail of a wedding we will never get to go to! Service and food were great. Not sure worth the price paid based on the rest of the experience, but... also not sure it was something the Cider Mill could have controlled.
Our party of four enjoyed dinner at The Cider Mill in late April. Three of us had the spring risotto with cod. Excellent. My husband had 2 appetizers instead of an entree: salmon sliders and lamb lollipops. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. Service was attentive and professional. Our server, Rebecca, was very knowledgable about both the food and drinks menu. (It is frustrating to ask a server their opinion about a dish, wine, or drink and have them say they haven't tasted it.) Rebecca enhanced our dining experience. The Cider Mill accepts reservations, and you can make them online. Very easy.
After reading several positive reviews from locals my wife and I made a date night reservation to check this place out. We were promptly greeted with a warm welcome from the host. It was nice to see that on a Wednesday at 6pm the restaurant was almost full with happy patrons. Our server, Lucinda greeted us and was very helpful with suggestions on their new spring/summer cocktail list. My wife had the “pickle” cocktail and I had one of their Manhattans. Both were delicious and the pickle cocktail surprisingly different from the norm. We took Lucinda’s suggestions on starters and shared the oysters Rockefeller and lamb lollipops. They happily obliged to leave the Parmesan breadcrumbs off the oysters as I am dairy free. Nothing was lost, the oysters were delicious and fresh. The lamb lollipops were a perfect shareable app but could’ve benefited from a little more of the sauce (pomegranate reduction?). For entrees my wife had the Rigges and I had the double cut pork chop. Again everything arrived promptly and hot after we had finished our apps. Portions were large and could easily be shared. Pork chop was cooked to perfection but I regret not asking for of the chimmichuri sauce that came with it. Lucinda was great and so friendly she made us feel very comfortable. And a note on the ambience and atmosphere while we were there; all the staff and patrons were in such a great mood, there was such a positive vibe. We didn’t have room for dessert but this clearly won’t be our last visit. Very well done and I would recommend.
