Third visit. This place has changed for better. Everything was in order and the food tasted much better. The staff were great and quick.[My second visit] There was a new waitress who didn't seem very courteous. We had to wait a long time before we got served. Then we ordered tea. It took 20 minutes before we ask again. But the tea was really good. The service is really not satisfactory. The waitress should be smiling at customers.[My first visit] The food is good and the price is reasonable. The only thing is that it takes a while before you get the food.
Definitely not what I expected when I walked in the place but I'm so so glad I did! The lady behind the cash register was extremely helpful in ordering as I've never had this type of food before. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back for more
I went to get some sharwarma sandwiches for dinner. It had no tasted at all. They mixed up the meats and got it wrong. Wrote wrong meat name on the bag.. It was so cold , hard and the bread was very old bc it fell apart. Dont go here and waste your money like I did. They definitely went down hill. I have attached photos so u can see. This was worst I ever ate.
I would recommend this place as a humbling experience. If you want to feel like a customer who has no value to the restaurant or it’s workers, head to sumera. 0/5 stars. Absolutely horrible food, and nonexistent service.
With exception of the pita, I cannot deny that the food is pretty fresh. However, it has little flavor. Moreover, when I was advised that my meal would take 30 min to prepare, I ended up waiting at the restaurant for an additional 20 minutes. They also didn't have any beef (which they neglected to inform me over the phone), so they had me switch to chicken shawarma baba ganoush, which just plain wasn't good. It also didn't have the tomato and parsley it was supposed to have on it. There wasn't any apology. Frankly, the customer service was just poor. Luckily, making a greek yogurt pseudo-tzatziki is easy. I just did that to jazz up the food and it was edible. Also, why was all my pita served in a grocery store bag and not heated at all? bummer. Not worth it.
I’m visiting my in-laws here, from Ireland. Wanted to get them middle eastern food so found this place. It was 30 mins drive from where they live. The food we picked up was excellent. We had to reheat it because of the long drive but that was ok. Loved the quality of everything. We ordered Tawuk special, vegetable platter, kabseh and some deserts. I was nervous about getting poor quality or inauthentic food but thank God that wasn’t the case. Big thanks to the chef and the team. The family here said they will definitely order again after we go back home. The one thing I didn’t like was the beetroot pickles, they weren’t really pickled. Aside from that it was all perfect.
I believe that the customer service of this establishment lacks communication. I felt like I was working when talking to the lady who was at the cashier. She didn’t help me whatsoever with any suggestions nor did it seem like she wanted to talk to me. I spent $70 here for takeout. I would at least expect some type of welcome .Food: very basic for the prices, needs more seasoning and more quality pita. It’s a shame.
I did eat about three times. I noticed that no customer service. the food is arrived cold. No one care when I rise the issue. Three times is enough to not go back.I will not go back to Sumera resentment .
Everything in here is amazing. Lamb chops are my favorite. 100% recommend 100% going back.
First off - this place is VERY CASUAL. Almost fast food style. Don't expect restaurant level service! With that said ... this is some of the BEST Arab food I've ever had in my life. I've traveled around the Middle East and this food is legit good. The fattoush is top notch. The Shish Tawook was super tender. The rice was flavorful and cooked expertly. I highly recommend getting one of the family combos and sharing all family style. Arabi, Desi, and Persian alike come to this spot for authentic, well made middle eastern food. Reconsider eating at the typical sharwarma & "gyro" spots and try a fattoush & shish tawoq.
