Great Italian food and service...

Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff. We had a large group in town for some soccer and they were very accommodating. First, I had to add 10 people to my reservations just hours beforehand of which they had no problem with me doing. Second, the staff was willing to do separate checks for each family. Our group was 35+ people and although it took some time (totally understandable for a large group on a Saturday night), each families order came out hot and the checks were accurate. Did not hear any complaints from anyone. Thank you so much to your staff for a great job.
I ordered through Uber Eats- driver was awesome, but I ordered the lasagna, that came with a side. I got Italian Wedding Soup... and that was unlike any Italian Wedding Soup I've ever seen. It was a vegetable noodle soup, no meatballs. Lasagna was meh. On the plus side, the bread and garlic butter was awesome.
The minute you walk in there is this pungent smell of an old mop. My daughter arrived 10 minutes before me and found her at the bar. No drink in hand. She told me the bartender told her he would be there in a minute, 10 minutes prior. We were seated and it took 10 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge we were there. Drinks took forever. There were only 2 other parties there! The bread was hard and cold, the salad was limp and doused in dressing. When the spinach dip arrived, I couldn't believe it. It looked like someone dumped cheese out of a jar and threw diced tomatoes on top. When I told the waiter is was not at all edible, he did nothing about it, nor apologize. The main meals came out, but they were nothing to rave about. I paid for the bill not looking at details. Should have. That spinach dip I did not touch was never taken off the bill! Seriously? There are too many good restaurants in Syracuse to ever go back or have a reason to go back to this place. Perhaps that is why the parking lot was empty when I arrived at peak dinner hour.
The other reviews discuss the decor accurately so I'm not going to. We were on our way to the war memorial for a show at 7. Had reservations for 5:30 and arrived a few minutes early. We were promptly seated and ignored for over ten minutes. It would appear that the wait staff has no clear system for who is responsible for what table. Our drink order was not taken by our waitress but by another employee. On a positive note my beer was nice and cold. Finally, at 5:40 our order was taken. Now this place serves Italian food and most of the dishes are pretty basic so I'm not sure why it took until 6:15 for our meal to arrive.The food was very basic and low quality. The fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was terrible. The alfredo sauce had no flavor. The shrimp tasted good and the tails had been removed, which is a plus, but the shrimp were luke warm at best. The whole dish looked like it had sat around for a few minutes. The other food served to us was basic and nothing special. Don't waste your money. I have had really good Italian and this is not good Italian.

This was a really cool place. The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. We had several kids ranging in age from 2 to 16 and they all had fun. The staff was quick to fill drinks and get our food out to us but we never felt rushed. We sat for close to an hour after we ate without feeling like we needed to leave.
Had not been here in a number of years. Decided a night out to eat would be a nice thing. The hand rail on the right going down the steps is loose. The place needs a cleaning, the chairs are horrible. Asked for a different chair because it wobbled, replacement was not that much better. Food was ordinary, eggplant parm was over fried and dry, spaghetti forgettable on all the dinners. Meal was lukewarm and coffee was lukewarm and not fresh. We were so impressed years ago. Not any more. Price paid was not indicative of what we received. Will not be back. The photos of the nice looking plentiful food in the ads is not representative of what you get.
