I've had some really good gyros before, but never really had any other Greek food. This time I tried something different and it was amazing. Nice atmosphere, friendly and fast service. The menu is a tad bit overwhelming at first, but if you go often then I'm sure you'd get used to it.Edit:may not be specifically Greek, just Mediterranean
Very good food . However not the best in the state Zeina”s inNew Hartford is the best from Canada to Binghamton to Albany. Ive been going to king davids since they opened decades ago and still go there. But I take my mother and aunts all over 90 years old and zeinas is tops.
King David Fairmount is definitely the BEST restaurant in not only Upstate NY, but all of NYS! It is a restaurant where the food is so delicious that I have to actually stop myself from crying because I'm so overwhelmed by amazingness! It is a go to restaurant for us.The first thing I have to mention is the freshness of the food! The veggies are crisp, the flavors are bright and vibrant, and everything is in house made. They also use premium ingredients. I feel like that makes a huge difference and definitely lends to the amazing quality of the dishes. When I want real, fresh food, I can count on King David.We are vegetarian and consider ourselves foodies. I love that KD has so many tasty vegetarian options. The hummus, baba ganoush and falafel are to die for! Any of the bowls (the farro bowl is outstanding!) are a great choice as is the vegetarian platter. The baklava...OMG! I feel a tear coming to my eye just thinking about it. Craving just 1 more piece.The restaurant is comfortable, welcoming and spotless. The prices are excellent and you get a very generous amount of food, regardless of what you order. I also totally love the staff! They are so great at helping you get exactly what you want and suggesting new dishes. Eating here is just an all around excellent experience! I really love King David. If you haven't been, you are missing out on a slice of heaven.
Food is always good and usually more than enough. I love their eggplant fries. So very good. The bowls all have interesting combinations.
I don't think ordering for a later time, does you want good. I ordered for a 7:20 pickup. Got there at 7 and it was ready. With that being said food was still very good just could've been a little warmer.
Fast, friendly service! Loved my falafel salad 10/10! Would recommend!
Prefer the Fayetteville location. Tahini sauce was bland and had no cucumbers. Gyro was light on tomato, onion, sauce and needed more seasoning. A good, but not great, experience.
Had an excellent meal there tonight. They were very courteous and attentive. It's all counter service but as we were deciding what to order an employee came out and offered us a menu to look at closer. I call that paying attention and doing a great job. The food was also very fresh and tasty. We will be back for sure.

Their chicken shawarma is about as far from a shawarma than the restaurant is far from the middle east. Lousy, tasted like boiled chicken... Don't order it. The falafel is much better though
