This is my families go to celebration restaurant!! Great service, great food, and wonderful atmosphere! Oh and my daughter loves Chris!
My first time at Joey's. My wife has been trying to get me here for awhile and I can definitely see why. Joey's has a relaxed, classic Italian vibe. You are greeted kindly and the staff is courteous and attentive throughout. The food: the fresh bread with garlic butter was magnificent, the house salads were fresh with a lovely balsamic dressing, the stuffed mushrooms burst with flavor, the new york style cheesecake was perfection and the cannoli had the best filling I've ever had.The main dishes: Eggplant parm was a work of art and my wife couldn't believe how they did it. The meatball with her eggplant was wow-worthy even though it was slightly cold. The Veal braciola was good but not great and compared to everything else an expectation disappointment. As mentioned it was good but it didn't pop with flavor and excitement like everything else did. I found that surprising given the described ingredients, nonetheless it became a sidenote to a wonderful meal and experience. I look forward to trying more in the future.
My husband and I are on our way to Niagara Falls from the Boston area to visit my son and family and stopped overnight in Syracuse. Went looking for a place for dinner and found Joey's. We were promptly seated. Our very upbeat server, Sue, came over and took our drink orders, we were ready to place our order. I had the stuffed shells and meatball and my husband had the ravioli and meatball. Both came with a side salad and bread. Portions were generous and very tasty. A definite return the next time we are in Syracuse!! Hats off to Sue!!!
We went to Joey's because it was close to our hotel, and the reviews looked good. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. An added bonus was the number of gluten free choices available on the menu, including gluten free pasta. The only bummer was the lack of a gluten free dessert. To be honest, we were so full from dinner, that not having dessert wasn't a deal killer! We were visiting the area, so what a shame we can't go there on a regular basis.
Went to Joey's for the first time last night. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. From the fresh bread with yummy garlic butter to delicious salads and fabulous entrees. I ordered Shrimp Francaise and it was the best food I have ever eaten. I brought Tiramisu home for desert. Again, mouth watering, so so delicious. My friends had eggplant Parmesan, clams, salmon, chicken french, and all raved about their entrees. But the other best part was the host Chris and our wonderful server Nancy. She is by far the best server ever. She made our evening fun while providing excellent service. Totally in tuned with our table and always answering our questions with knowledge and a wonderful attitude. The ambiance was great. Nice little tables for two in corners and just the right atmosphere for everyone.
Love, love this place. The food and service was amazing even though they were short staffed. Thank you Linda ?I had the Friday special baked halibut with a lemon and white wine sauce that was”out of this world” and my husband had chicken Marsala with the same comment. You get warm bread with homemade garlic butter-couldn’t get enough of it. That plus the chocolate cake means I will need to give up food, diet, run around the block LOLEveryone needs to go to this restaurant. If you want more elegant, you can go downstairs.. make sure you make reservations because both places were packed.
I ordered stuffed shells. Exceptionally good. They reminded me of my great grandma that died this week. My friend ordered the stake and he said it could have been better. His brother ordered ravioli and he said it was the best ravioli he ever had. The only problem was that the food took a really long time to be served and the shells were slightly under cooked. Otherwise, it was very good
Can’t say enough about the service and food. Went on a Friday night and had the baked halibut with a lemony white wine sauce that was out of this world! My husband had the chicken Marsala, which he thought the same. It is served with their homemade garlic butter and warm bread which was also devine. Don’t forget to leave room for their desserts which again are first rate. Their prices are incredibly reasonable for all that you get. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Make sure you have reservations though. The restaurant was packed. Thanks to the hostess and our waitress, Linda, who, though they were short staffed, were amazing
Absolutely delicious! The Bolognese is one of the best I’ve ever had.
Great food and service, nice atmosphere
