Good food, good service and fair prices. Bf ordered beer on tap and it was super flat, that was our only complaint. Definitely recommend for a special occasion but keep in mind tables are close to each other in the back so if you want a little more privacy I would call and ask.
Just had a special family dinner at Delmonicos to celebrate a retirement and wedding anniversary. Large group of 21. Staff was wonderful and so attentive. Food was excellent. A very positive experience!
We were really looking forward to this meal to celebrate my husband's birthday after having a very favorable experience there in the past. Tonight was not so favorable. We had a reservation for 5pm on a Friday night. I really love the decor and the music of the era playing (Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Louie Prima, etc.). We were seated near a window facing the road and thought that would be a nice area - that is until a table of about 20 people, including several very rambunctious children who repeatedly bumped into a chair at our table, were seated next to us. If the restaurant was anticipating that crowd, we should have been seated elsewhere. Additionally, the service was not great this time. Although our waitress was very polite, after the entrée was served she disappeared. We ran out of water before our meal was finished and she never stopped by to ask if we needed anything. I think the prices were reasonable for what we ordered. I found that the food, even my soup (I had the Zuppa di Stracciatella, hubby had clam chowder) was very peppery for my taste (made more difficult by not having any water to drink). We both had the 6oz Filet Marsala. My meat, ordered medium, was tender and tasty, aside from a bit too much pepper. My husband ordered his medium-well and he said it was not so tasty. There were hardly any mushrooms at all, or the taste of Marsala for that matter, and you had to be careful eating the angel hair pasta due to splattering of the butter it was prepared with. Overall, the meal was okay. The waitress never asked if it was a special occasion like last time we dined there on an anniversary, but my husband did get a free cannoli for his birthday when we asked about it. I had the tiramisu and THAT was AWESOME! Because we had such high expectations based on a previous experience, this was a very disappointing outing. I don't think we'll go back but I hate to discourage someone else from maybe getting the great experience we had before.
Absolutely amazing! Our server, Josh, made the experience! He was so kind and great. We had the kicked up calamari which was delicious. Always have to get a wedge salad⦠and my favorite the filet Gorgonzola. My dad got the famous Delmonico steak which never disappoints, my boyfriend got the veal parm and my mom the salmon. We all enjoyed a delicious meal!

We were seated promptly as we arrived at our reservation time and were greeted by our server Isabella who was excellent throughout the evening's meal. After a glass of Black Opal Shiraz, we ordered our entrees which arrived after a short wait and were served as ordered and hot. I really enjoyed the Sliced Sirloin with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a delicious Mushroom sauce. My wife ate a Entree-size Mixed Greens Salad with Filet Tournedos and the House Balsamic Dressing. This is one of her favorite Delmonico dinner entrees since we are frequent diners at this wonderful restaurant. We highly recommend this Steakhouse located on the east side of Syracuse.
Our waitress was great, very friendly and attentive. The Delmonico steak had no seasoning on it and one side was badly burned. The pasta was bland with a huge hunk of chopped garlic just sitting on top. It is very rare to have a bad meal here. Maybe just an off night.
Had the best RI little neck clams! I also order the appetizer Portabello Mushroom Parmigiana! Both were delicious!
Never disappointed when my wife & I venture to Delmonicoâs!! Service was fantastic from the moment we arrived until we left. Food was delicious & we just love the Martinis! Thank you again Delmonicoâs for another wonderful evening with my wife! Keep up the good work.
