Great food, drinks, service and ambiance!
Unassuming from the outside, full of character inside.Every meal on the menu was delicious, we tried the catfish, jerk chicken, beer battered haddock, and chicken enchilada.It all tasted very fresh, came out hot, and made us want to return.
Place was great. We are repeat customers. The menu is smaller than it used to be. The takeout and dine in menus do vary so dont expect everything to be on both. Either way, very tasty. I recommend the catfish burrito for dining in and the shrimp tostada for takeout. No matter what, you can't really go wrong. It's one of the most established Mexican-ish restaurants in the area.
One of the best places to eat in Westcott and Syracuse. Their Mexican food is always spot on. Their portions are huge as well. I have enjoyed going there with friends for drinks and dinner. I love their jalapeno corn bites among other foods. I also love how the place is not that close nor far from the campus.

Really gone down hill. The last few times I've ordered I've regretted it. Hasn't been worth the money. Still fun to dine in but food hasn't been good and it used to be great.
I'm motivated to review in apology for having dismissed the accuracy of some previous reviewers... I had found the expectation of "authentic Mexican" an unrealistic standard in Syracuse NY, but... this food was... I dunno... some other cuisine... perhaps a French chef's interpretation? "Bean & cheese burrito" seemed more like rice with cream sauce, wrapped in a flour tortilla. Hostess and bartender were competent but not friendly. Server slightly better. The prices seemed quite reasonable to me. I debated between rating 3 vs 4, but given that it is highly unlikely I will ever go to this restaurant again, settling on 3. If they renamed the place, to change expectations, perceptions might be different.

Came here for dinner. Was always an inspired dish if not my favorite and all was cooked with love. This evening specifically we came for the valentine's dinner. It felt very special and we appreciated all the courses.
Alto Cinco has and will always be my favorite place in Syracuse! Hands down the BEST MEXICAN Restaurant ever! The food is so amazing! And I love the atmosphere! Excellent Customer Service!!!! ????
