The Z One diner never disappoints. I have gotten everything from Burgers to Chili and things from breakfast menu mainly waffles, eggs, sausage. Even their Philly cheese steak is excellent. Their bathrooms are clean and the wait staff is excellent. They have manners and care that you got the order the way you wanted it. They don’t hover over you or make you feel like you should leave as soon as you finish your food. This diner is easily one of my favorite if not the top diner bar none in New York City. I am never disappointed. However since I am here to give an honest review, the parking lot pavement has been for a long time in need of re-paving. There are holes that look like a meteor had crashed. Some areas collect water and it stays there. It is definitely disappointing since this is one of my favorite diners and it’s as close as you can get to New York City’s most amazing carousel.
Good diner food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. My only complaint is that they play the music too loudly. You have to scream to be heard and can barely hear anyone else talk. Music should softly be playing in the back ground at a resturants. It shouldn't hinder conversions with your friends. That being said. I do like this place for a quick bite.
So I had a Dr.s apt & end up here because In the morning I had a final & didn’t get a chance to eat anything until now. Before my apt I had some time so I said let’s try it out.From outside I wasn’t sure if I can find any vegetarian items to try out. Obviously this is not a halal restaurant. But they actually had couple of vegetarian items & seafood !When I went inside I was surprised, the interior is pretty nice. Restaurant looks clean & loved the vibe of everything. They also have a nice looking huge bar. I don’t drink but I had to pass it on my way to the restroom. The restroom needs little work, doesn’t match with the restaurant look. That’s one reason I gave this place 4 stars.I ordered mozzarella sticks, strawberry lemonade & vegetarian melt. With good portions & great taste I enjoyed my food .The stuff were wonderful & knowledgeable about the menu & the taste. That’s always a plus while trying out new restaurants.Now comes the price, for all I have ordered the bill came out almost 40$ . As a student like me can I effort this a regular basis? NO! For me it was little costly but I am sure for others price isn’t a matter.I was too full to try their coffee, next time Ofcource.Thank you all for the hospitality, I will highly recommend to try their food. We had 11 am reservations for mother's day...when we got there at 10 to eleven they said we had a half hour wait. Apparently they took everyone's reservations but never reserved the tables, it was total chaos outside and inside of people complaining about no reservations being honored. When we finally were seated they shoved us in a both for 6 people and we were 8..We finally ordered at 11:25....at 12 30 we still had no food served, the waiter never came over to us to see if we needed anything ot to explain why we were still waiting to be served. At 12:35 we had enough and got up to leave when one of owners said the kitchen was backed up but offered no apology for the long wait time...he also told me I could leave and waved his hand at me and sarcastically told me to have a nice mother's day which at this point was ruined because my kids and grandchildren had afternoon plans. So thanks Z1 for destroying what was suppose to be a relaxing brunch...after the horrible treatment and your B rating you lost a customer.
An Amazing diner/restaurant. The food was Absolutely phenomenal. The portion, the taste and the prices. It's the best. All the love to you guys, keep up the good service.

Z One is an open, bright diner with a slightly upscale menu. Most dishes are a little above your standard diner fare. Today, I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad. The avocado with fresh and bright and the blackened chicken was tasty. A must try!
Only about third time I've been to Z One diner in the dozen years I've lived in the home of Pete Davidson, King of Staten Island. I've never seen him at Z One but rumor is very late night . . . .Since Z One is open 24 hours, who knows? Not at all crowded on this rainy winter Sunday for brunch. Lobster bisque bowl was HUGE and very filling! Unfortunately we were not overwhelmed by rest of food. Bloody Mary was bland and no condiments or spices. GF's eggs Benedict were not what she expected, but they corrected order when asked without any hesitation. My chicken fingers were a bit overdone but the french fries were very good. Will absolutely return and give Z One another chance for a better experience.
The food was soo good, staff are friendly and respectful. I also give them credit for making accommodations for those without vaccine. Reserving my one star for the next visit
We received good service and the food was good. I could not call either great but good. One great point is that they have a great parking lot which is hard to find here.
