Food is delicious. I had the clear soup, which is delicious, a salad with ginger dressing. The dressing is homemade and tastes exquisite. The sesame chicken is very good. My husband loves the Hibachi chicken and shrimp meal. Our server was courteous and attentive. We will be back soon.

Next time believe your customers when they tell you you left metal staples in their noodles instead of calling them liars
There is no way this place got 4 ⭐, unless friends & family are rating it for them! Save your money & go somewhere else! The food is terrible. The service is terrible! They blame YOU for their poor quality!Do yourself a favor & go to Sanma - 10 Akron St, Staten Island, NY 10314. Not far away. Not Hibachi, but excellent Japanese/Sushi!

FOOD POISON! 15 minutes into eating the pineapple fried rice I got violently ill. The manager had the nerve to say I was making it up despite the fact that when I went in at 2130 hrs I was fine, no ill feelings totally healthy. After eating their food at around 2150hrs I began to experience heavy sweating and I felt abdominal pain. I threw up the entire content of my dinner into a ziplock bag. An ambulance was called at around 2200hrs and arrived at 2215 hrs. They ruled out all other causes of those symptoms. Once I emptied my stomach I was soaked with sweat but I could go home thank god. I called the department of health 311 and I waited for NYPD to file a report. (121 Pct was right across the street. They never showed up 1hr. So I left without paying. The owner had the nerve to tell me never to come back. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Rather than saying we apologize for what happened come back and have a dinner on us (which I would not have done) he had the nerve. Anyway long story short UMI SUSHI HIBACHI FOOD GOT ME VIOLENTLY ILL, within minutes of eating it. I was lucky I didn’t die. That was my honest report of my experience that can be backed up with phone records and the EMS report. Good luck if you go there. I included pics of the aftermath of me throwing up. I apologize to anyone who is grossed out. But I really want you to understand what happened to me.
Couldn’t even wait to write this review about this restaurant. Here goes, I just arrived from a lovely vacation but was famished after I landed and me and my husband I were looking for a place to eat but couldn’t decide where until we were passing by this restaurant and decided to stop here to have dinner since we’d eaten there quite a few times in the past, food was pretty good in the past. We sat ordered and halfway into our meal my husband stopped eating and few minutes later was sweating profusely and puking his guts out and 2 minutes later was laying on the bench at the table while I began to panic and call EMS, just in time to finish the call I’d overheard the manager say nothing’s wrong with him, he’s making this up. At that point in time I got so infuriated because I could not believe that a manager in this type of establishment could be so incredibly insensitive towards a customer that just consumed a meal there and got sick so quickly. EMS arrived and checked out my husband and we decided to call 311 to file a complaint and informed them that we won’t be paying for a meal that made my husband so ill . You wouldn’t believe his response after, he told us do not return there, so very rude. I was both shocked and appalled at the same time. Eat at your own risk if you’d like but just be warned

this place got shut down bc they were dirty and disgusting. there was a hair in my friends soup and when we told them they blamed it on us?. will never let my kids eat here again. a disgrace!
Food was good I didn’t have enough to tip and the delivery guy told me not to order again tho ? horrible service good food.
