This is about the 4th or 5th time I have ordered pastrami sandwiches, and I must say, each time the sandwich was delicious. The pastrami was warm, lean and tender, the bread always fresh. I highly recommend them for the pastrami sandwich. Price is right on point too. The people behind the counter are always very courteous. Will continue to go there for my sandwiches. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Well this will be the first and last time I ever eat at The Pastrami Shoppe. For starters, I saw the pastrami which was pre cooked (not fresh) taken out and placed in an oven. It wasnt freshly steamed and cut. Needless to say, it was like rubber and I had to throw it out. They’re not a true jewish deli. But worst of all is their lack of commitment to serving only fresh food. This is a bush league establishment and for the prices they charge they should know better!
A lot of people told me amazing things about this place and THEY WERE RIGHT! THIS PLACE IS REALLY GOOD. the service and staff are very nice as well. I got a pastrami on rye with mustard and muenster and it was 10/10. thick cuts of meat, a small container of tuna salad (which was a good size) steak fries and a juniors cheesecake. Hard to find good sandwich shops glad I found this place, def coming again.
Ok... this is going to be a long one. First and foremost, the food is great, service as well. Ill 100% be back.2nd, to the Karen that was in there while I was, if you don't want to pay a premium in time and money for quality food, go to Burger King.3rd, this is really for ownership or management. This is not a criticism of your place at all trust me but it might make more sense, flow wise, to go meat, cheese, toppings and then have the salads by the register. It goes from one end to the other and the little young lady at the end would be able to access the side dishes easier without having to cross paths multiple times with the cook. Ticket system seems outdated to me, maybe an expediting screen so as to not lose tickets. Lastly, I can't imagine sharing a walk in with reggianos is fun (just saying lol)With all that said I hope this place succeeds and continues to do well. It is well worth the visit and the wait time - NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. (I was in there roughly 6:30pm Saturday night, red haired young lady and a cook with a backwards hat) 5/5 all day
Delicious, pastrami, with all the extrasThe junior, size sandwich is a half poundJust a great Katz style deli serving Brisket etc.
I've ordered from here a few times a little expensive but the food really good if you want Corned beef brisket or pastrami. I will it was a little cheaper or they had combo deals so I could order them more often, but overall they seem decent. The large frys are massive 2 can probably feed 3 or 4 people depending on if there big eaters if not you'd probably only need one.
Pastrami is good - that’s the good. On the disappointing side: I ordered Pastrami Rueben and there was no russian dressing on it. I tried to order the mini knishes - they didn’t have any. This surprised me since they are only open a couple of weeks and already menu items not available. As substitute I was going to order either: square knish, round knish, or potato latkas but I also like STEAK FRIES (I do not care for shoestring fries at all). I went with the STEAK FRIES. For some reason few places on Staten Island seem to have STEAK FRIES, so I was glad to see them on this menu. Long and behold - when I arrived home with my order I had SHOESTRINGS fries NOT STEAK FRIES. None of this is by no means the end of the world of course but it is disappointing. Having said that, it is however disappointing that a newly opened establishment pays so little attention to details. This fault will inevitably cost on their bottom line.Update: I was in contact with one of the owner’s Denise and she did the right thing - free pastrami sandwich because of my disappointment. Thank you Denise ! (I think it’s a staffing “situation” most food establishments have been having since this COVID [email protected]&!).
I would rather battle through traffic and drive to Brooklyn for some real Delicatessen.I ordered 2 large pastrami sandwiches, 1 large corned beef sandwich, 3 potato knishes, an order of latkes and 2 sodas. Price was almost $90; am slightly unsure as I had to pay extra for sour pickles being only half a half-sour is given gratis. They forgot the applesauce for the latkes which I specifically inquired about as the cashier and another worker were frenetically chatting while the guy at the grill was the only one working hard. Being I was one of two customers there it wasn’t busy enough to excuse the error. The flavor of the pastrami was on the bland side, the knish was a Gabilla’s style knish with an off taste of old oil which is surprising being the cook only used the oven to warm them. The latkes were burnt on the edges and I didn’t even eat them because I wanted them with applesauce.
Serious ridiculous prices. I don't mind going to Katz and paying... at least there you get your moneys worth.Ordered take out. 3 bucks for a pickle ONE PICKLE. Really? A tablespoon of sour cream for a large order of potato latkes. It seems like the owner enjoys ripping people off. 1 pack of mustard, forget napkins no way they must cost a nickel apiece. Oh well live and learn. Never again.
I wish I could give less stars. My usually sandwich place was closed and I wanted something delivered. I was shocked at the 46$ tab for two sandwiches and fries but figured maybe they would be awesome. What I received was worse than disappointing. They looked like sandwiches I could make at home on store bought rye but worse because they were so incredibly greasy and fatty. It was horrible. The fries were soggy and tasteless. Don’t order from this place it’s horrible.
