My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful time here with great ambiance, amazing food, and very attentive servers. The seafood bowl was amazingly prepared, oysters, clams, lobster and shrimp were very tasty and fresh. From appetizers to desserts, there was no disappointment at all. 10/10 would recommend Taverna on the Bay for any occasion, whether it be a simple lunch, romantic dinner, or a get together with family.
I made reservations based on a friend's recommendation. What a TOTAL delight. Not fancy nor inexpensive but the selection of appetizers and entrees were gourmet. The clams oreganata were the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. The lemon sole prepared perfectly. Two bottles of white, which needed to be a little more chilled but given the quality and attention, my $120.00 price tag including tip would be double and probably not as good in the so called 4 star places in Manhattan. Will definitely return.
This was probably the best spot around, when we attended fleet week at the Staten Island home pier. There was absolutely no wait, in our waiter was very helpful and courteous.Nice rustic decor in the middle of Staten Island, I appreciate the effort which added points to the dining experience. The salads were not super fresh and the salmon was roughly mid grade, but the whole lunch was very filling and the location was fun, especially people watching across the big front window. This is definitely a safe bet in the area.
Very nice staff but overwhelmed with a group in the back. They did their best and the food was fresh and tasty
Had a great time. The restaurant is always clean and food Was delicious as usual and service was outstanding
Good food, service was a bit slow but they were clearly understaffed as the chef was taking orders at one point- very friendly and did the best they could. I would still recommend as the prices arenât rediculous like other restaurants on Staten Island and everyone was happy with their order.
Very nice place! Loved the white tablecloths and cloth napkins. Service and food was excellent. Would definitely go back!

The St. George Theatre is so thankful to Taverna for being a restaurant sponsor at our May 7, 2022 gala. Ridi & staff were wonderful to work with. . The food was presented beautifully and of course DELICIOUS. No wonder they're one of our favorite SI restaurants! And did I mention they make the BEST Sangria!? Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you ~ not only for having such a great restaurant and great staff but for being so community minded. Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you ~ for all you do. xoxoxox
Seafood is good, service is mostly good, but was hard to get a drink at the bar and place an order. Ambiance is warm and cozy. Parking in the area is not ideal.
