Soooo sad, how come without the egg for the ramen!!!??? The egg not including the ramen. The taste just ok. Nothing special. The meat so old and dry!How ridiculous that they charge Credit card fee, ?ā??ā?
HELL YEAHThis place is the literal bomb!!After moving here to Staten Island, I never got to really go to the ramen shop I always went to in Brooklyn, so I was looking for somewhere new. And guess what? THIS IS IS BABY!!!!The menu, the combo meals, the drinks, the desserts, fantastic! The waitresses are very kind and attentive, and always nearby. The aesthetic of the entire place is just so great, you feel like you are in an actual ramen shop in Japan.Highly recommended. I love it here!
Easy to find parking, good place to chill. Overall food are good, I love the chicken Skin and bacon with mochi skewers and white peach ice tea. Ramen Iām ok, so far so good, if the soup little bit hotter that it will make it better.
Got the Sakai ramen and green tea, noodles were good, broth was amazing, chashu was next level. This is definitely the spot if you have time. It has a faint cigarette smell but easily overlooked for quality
It's the best ramen restaurant in the Staten Island. Kimchi Ramen is my favor. My husband love Shio Ramen. Brown Sugar milk tea is my favorite bubble tea. The service is very friendly.
Sakai Ramen, Staten Island, NYThese folks have a giant E Honda on the wall overlooking the dining area so you know they mean business. This spicy Sakai Ramen bowl was really, really, enjoyable. The broth was thin and delicious, not overly salty as some places tend to be. I could drink a whole bowl by itself, f'real. I asked for extra spice and it wasn't really very spicy by my standards. It was tolerable by a lot of people who probably don't do spicy. I will say though, that during my bowl about halfway through, I ended up having some go into my airway and I had to chew super fast, put my utensils down, and swallow before I coughed my mouthful out all over the table. It caught me off guard. For the next 3 minutes I was fighting back more coughs, sniffles, and watery eyes. So embarrassing. But man, this is what it feels like to be alive. The bowl came with chicken chashu and pork chashu standard but I asked for more pork chashu and I'm very, very glad I did. The meat in this bowl was very soft and delicious and had its own unique flavor. Like the broth, it wasn't too overpowering or salty so I could really get into it and eat a lot without feeling like a dirtbag. I'm usually not a fan of thin noodles, but in this bowl with everything else meeting my expectations and tasting delicious I didn't even care. The noodles soaked up the broth just fine and complemented the bowl nicely. Everything else there; bamboo, seaweed, and corn, was a nice touch. Overall, I'd say this is probably my favorite Ramen Shop on Staten Island now. I don't think there's a whole lot of them out here but I bet it would be hard to find one much better. A+ Sakai Ramen!
I really love ramen and this place is actually legit. I used to work at Ippudo in Manhattan and have eaten ramen in Japan. I was not expecting much when I ordered from Sakai Ramen simply because Staten Island restaurants are at best questionable most of the time but I am pleasantly surprised and almost shocked at how good it is! The flavors are authentic and the ingredients are fresh. Had the Gyoza, Pork Buns and Miso Ramen with added toppings and made spicy. Very yummy and I definitely ate too much.
Food is awesome as always. Highly recommend adding spicy soup!
Good customer service, my kids really enjoyed it. The chicken broth was really good. It tasted like it had healing powers.Good boboa too
Your new go-to place for ramen and other Japanese cuisine on Staten Island. I tried this place recently and have been back several times! The food is delicious and amazingly priced, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is as kind as can be. What more can you ask for?
