Staff is still friendly and helpful with menu questions but I've noticed that the portions are about half what they were and the price is double what it was. I understand that some restaurants are struggling but increasing your price is fine if the portion size remains the same, I feel a price increase AND cutting portions is taking advantage of the pandemic crisis.
Service experience was not as it should be. Waiter “Chris” was rude and nasty. After 15 min waiting for food I asked Chris how long more to wait and he answered “ when it’s ready I will bring it to you.” ,. While ordering food when I asked him something about the order, he cut me right off“ you asked me that question already “ . He was talking to us like he is doing us big favor. Food was alright.
Oakwood diner is extremely good. The food is always the best and the service is exceptional. Great breakfasts, lunches and really delicious dinners. The prices are average. It is great place to get together with friends for coffee and... I recommend it highly.
Consistent, great breakfast, just wish they had bkfst specials like Mike's jr does on Richmond ave, but still a great neighborhood diner, friendly waitstaff & kid friendly.

Wish I could tell u how the food was got seated waited 20 minutes nobody helped me. I watched as another group sat down and was helped right away. We walked right out never coming back.
Excellent tiziki sauce. You can also tell the cooks care about presentation. Problem is their is 1 waitress with 0 shame named Daniele. She is constantly talking foal about her coworkers & customers infront of everyone. We actually stopped going awhile ago because it was really too much. Others have told us about her too & they weren't liein. Funny We went the other day, another waitress was going to take us which we were happy about, than Daniele told them we were her regulars! ( I know for a fact* we're not the only ones that stopped going because of her, especially when other wait staff we liked seeing are no longer their.) But it is a nice diner when she's not their lol. Coffee is good, nice manager, nice buss boys, I like how they give you beats, etc instead of just Cole slaw & pickles). Their cole slaw could use a little work though. Mussel platters are presented so beautifully like a fine dining restaurant. & they have some unique stuffed chicken dinners that other Diners don't.
Quick bite, reasonable/affordable prices, customer service is okay.. They water boy is most attentive. I THINK HE SHOULD BE A SERVER!
Horrible used to be really good ordered today was told over an hour to get a delivery. Went to pick it up and the delivery guy already had it in his car, hostess grabs it hands it to me. Didn’t do the right thing for the inconvenience when the bill was 58.03 and couldn’t knock the 3 cents off. Wow! Never again with this dog food
