god i love this place. i literally recommend everyone i know to come here. they have the friendliest service, best drinks, fun classy atmosphere, and the food gets 5 madones always. i literally lived off of their cold seafood platter and watermelon margs during covid. my pockets were sad and empty but my tummy was happy and full. their nyc strip, mingotz. get their espresso martinis too , take my word and an uber.
The St. George Theatre is so thankful to Max's Es-ca for being a restaurant sponsor at our May 7, 2022 gala. Max and his staff are always wonderful to work with and have been supporting our mission for years! The food was presented beautifully and of course DELICIOUS. No wonder they're one of our favorite SI restaurants!!! Consistent, perfect AND did I mention they make the best burgers AND cocktails?Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you ~ not only for having a great restaurant and great staff but for being so community minded. I booked a dinner party for my daughters graduation from grad school. A table for 23 people .not only was the food amazing .but the attention from the staff was also amazing that you to our waitress Elizabeth .this place is upbeat it had a live jazz band .everyone that attended couldn't stop raving about this place .I want to thank Allison and her staff for a perfect dinner my daughter had a great time we will be regulars .definitely not your regular same as every other restaurant on staten island .I can't say enough good things .thank you
I had my mother’s retirement here and it was perfect. We had it in the back tent and it was so pretty with the fairy lights. Everyone loved the food and they even took a special order of Spinach Fettuccini for my cousin because its her favorite dish there. The sangria was yummy, no one had an empty glass the staff on top of everything.
I visited Max's Es-ca about a month ago with a friend, and I couldn't have been happier with the food, service, and atmosphere. I had to change my original reservation due to inclement weather, and the manager (I forget her name) was very accommodating. The food was incredible: the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the burrata mozzarella was exceptional. I ended up staying in the restaurant for a few hours, at which point they gave me and my friend some drinks on the house. This was my first time at this restaurant, and I can already confidently say this is one of my favorite places in Staten Island. I definitely look forward to going back again soon. I highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful waiter named Joe. Joe was very friendly, personable and attentive. The food was a huge disappointment. We have been there for dinner many times and enjoyed the food. Tonight this was not the case. There were three of us and we all ordered the Spinach Fettuccini with Grilled Chicken and Asparagus. The minute the plate was set down in front of me I knew it was precooked chicken that comes in a bag. I could tell by the grill marks. It looked like orange grill marks like when you get Perdue precooked chicken strips in a bag. It was completely tasteless. My mother thought the same thing. It was an immediate turn off. Only pieces of the stems of the asparagus spear were used. The sauce was just okay, not delicious like the last time I had it. I do not mind paying a lot of money for a delicious dinner, but for subpar food it feels like I threw money in the garbage. I totally understand with all that is going on in the food industry prices have to increase due to the rise in cost, but the quality of the food should not be compromised. This will be our last visit.

This is the spot if you’re going to dine in Staten Island. Believe me worth the trip. Best owners and staff you’ll ever get know. From food to service top notch always. Bartenders are all amazing wonderful peeps! Cuisine in this place crazy good seriously! Great wine menu ok just go!!!!
