Sorry this place is up for sale. Love their German specialties, and beer lovers will surely appreciate all the beers on tap. Enjoy while you can!! FYI, In the front of the restaurant stands the largest Hummel figure in the world.

I came back here after about 15 years. It is still the same - great sausages and pretzels and incredibly good German beer for extremely reasonable prices. The location (it feels like a country road rather than a street in an NYC borough) only adds to the charm, as does the haphazard ambience. Highly recommended!

Service was slow due to staff shortage, but our waitress was very friendly and apologetic. Nice atmosphere in the beer garden with some live music. Good place to have a beer and socializing. Not so much for the food.

Great place to have beer. Mushroom appetizer was slammin. Can't say the same for the steak or pot roast but it was good none the less. Good goulash. Good mashed potatoes. Good cabbage.

Amazing place and staff! The food was delicious, the sausages, OMG! We had a great time. We came on a Sunday and they have what they call a Sunday Fun. Live music and chit chat and good drinks. A mix of family and friends restaurant. ❤️

Fun place, great selection of beers and yummy food here. Can't wait for the beer garden to open up for this summer

This is a place of great German food, beer, and history. Prices are still crazy cheap for how wonderful this place is. Please come enjoy it before we lose it!

So disappointed! Before Covid hit, this was the place to be with the best German cuisine on the island. It seems to have changed, for the worst. Even a simple lunch for two had very over salted soup, and other simple mistakes.A good chef always tastes for seasoning!Unless they can hire back whomever was cooking back when, I can't return. The atmosphere is cute and kitchy, but without good food, it's not worth a trip.

Very disappointed. We went to this place couple years ago before covid and it was wonderful. Last night potato pancakes were burned ,wurst were burned too. Service was very slow. Cocktails ? felt like had no alcohol at all.Food was not hot.

Food was delicious. Staff very friendly. Definitely working hard to keep up with the crowd. Haven't been there in a long time. Will definitely go again
