Food and service was Excellent !
First and last time,ordered the fish special which was supposed to be scrod,i understand that can vary between small codfish or anything in the hake or sole family all being cold saltwater fish with similar tastes and texture,they served me Basa,a disgusting polluted freshwater catfish similar to tilapia that smells and tastes disgusting,the owner/manager apologized and explained that if they served actual scrod they would have to sell the dinner for $80,he did make it right though and asked if id like something else instead so i had a burger which was great,being misled and being served catfish though doesnt sit right with me,i dont think ill be going back.

The hostess was really friendly and nice, first time being here. Had simple take away of side of mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies with added mushrooms. Enough for two people, I have my coworker half.
Is most definitely not open 24 hours!! Don't count on this place! I came here at 6:40 on a Tuesday hoping for a good breakfast before work and the place was closed and empty. Might throw off my whole day.
Best dinner I have been to so far on staten island!!!!!! The eggs were so fluffy and delicious not to mention the service was awesome and fast. This is definitely my new regular place I have already recommended all my friends and family.
If I could give 0 stars I would. We walked in and were very polite. We were wearing masks and an older lady asked us if we we’re going to keep wearing them; I said we would take take them off eventually and she sarcastically backed way up and said “I’ll stand back here then”. She also continuously misgendered my friend. She asked him twice what kind of soda he wanted then brought out the wrong soda, and on top of that it was in a dirty cup. We left immediately and will not be going back. I suggest you do the same.

My first visit there and it was good. The staff was polite and the food was delicious. If I am ever in the area I will go back.
my family and I had an amazing lunch at Hyland Diner last Saturday. Our waitress Nicole was super friendly and fantastic.
