I like coming here because the sushi is amazing but the attitude was ridiculous. I just moved to staten Island and am unfamiliar with the area and didn't realize I ordered at a different location. When I was asked what I was picking up they didn't have the order so I explained to her that I accidentally ordered at a different location and she told me to go pick up my order over there and that she couldn't help me. So I called the other location in front of her and explained the mishap so they canceled my order. Finally the lady took my order but was rushing me through the whole order. Super rude. Wouldn't want to deal with her if I come back. Smh
Food was bussin. The waitress was meh but the chick going around pouring tea and taking plates was amazing.
Had takeout and dine-in dinner here before. It's a good place for some fusion food in the area. It's definitely mostly not traditional sushi or omakase by any means, but it's good nonetheless. The prices are fair, given how supplies for fresh ingredients needed for sushi these days. It's about the same as other a la carte places, I think. They can get quite busy with the ton of takeout orders they have to prepare during the dinner hours, but the staff still manage to be quite attentive and clear empty plates and refill teacups. The location is rather convenient in terms of parking. Currently, the big supermarket has closed so there are many spots open. The restaurant interior is also decorated nicely, with lights that remind me of a karaoke bar.The sushi took a bit of waiting. Even with about four chefs, they swamped the bar with takeout orders as much as dine-in. I won't count that against them. The food came and it was nice and hot, even the rolls with tempura inside. The nigiri was well-packed and the sashimi was quite soft. Overall, it is a solid meal.
Awful customer service. The sushi was not fresh ? The picutre below was the “Fish Tempura Roll” if you could even call it that.
Sushi tastes great. Staff are very nice and welcoming, and everything is very clean. Love this place.
Great service, fresh, yummy food, it's our main go-to sushi place on the island.
This place is really good. Fresh fish, fresh fish(important). Have special fish Shipped from Japan every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.I'm a local and this is, THE sushi spot. Many variety of apps and food selection. The kitchen is great. If sushi is not your thing try the kitchen. Red snapper is Def. a favorite. The food is overall on point. The staff is great and funny.
Food was very good, probably the best sushi I have had in Staten Island
My son eats only Philadelphia roll and we are ordering it is regularly, today we ordered from Genky - my son almost vomit after trying the Genki Philadelphia roll - he told me that is is something wrong with the fish - I tried and understand that the salmon is raw instead of smoked- after I asked manager how is it possible she told me I don’t understand- and it is smoked salmon - … my son asked not to order rolls ever again and since we didn’t have time - he was without a lunch. —- The manager was very - very rude - so people next time be carful ordering -
I love coming her for sushi! I gotten take out here a few times and it's always so good. The party platters are great for big groups.
