Just had a delicious dinner at Dosa. The server was very helpful and made sure we were happy with our dishes. We had the Chicken Dosa - loved the sauces it was served with. Can't wait to go back. I took a menu home to decide what I want next!
Service was fine, the waiter was helpful.Though Food was bad, from the apps and to the main course. I used to love this place several months back but I can not recommend this place anymore.
Just recently ate here, just a heads up that they are now under new ownership and there’s a massive drop in quality. It’s a huge Pet Peeve of mine when places change hands and staff yet continue using the same google profile. It’s basically fraud. The food is bland and horrible, and the experience isn’t tensely the same without the old owners. There’s nothing really more to say. It’s heartbreaking and just another reminder in my life to enjoy things awhile they’re around as nothing lasts forever.
NEW OWNERSHIP. No more comforting experience with great service. I really miss the old waiter who helped you decide what to get. These owners yell at each other, the phones are ringing off the hook, there's a line of doordash and ubereats people waiting forever. The food is just blah. The old dosa really was the best on the island. The fact that these owners didn't change anything and left THIS AWARD WINNING PLAQUE on the wall is pretty ballsy. RIP to a legendary place.
The food used to be the best. I was highly disappointed this last time. I ordered the Navratan Korma, which I have had on previous occasions. They clearly used those frozen mixed vegetables you get at the supermarket for like $2. No nuts whatsoever, and no hint of any spices. Also, the Kothu Roti was tasteless.
Called the restaurant to place an order for pickup and the lady who answered was really rude. It was like as if I had called someone’s house or something. I asked her if they had matar paneer and she kept correcting me in a very rude way until she finally said they don’t have it. Then I moved on to a second option for a dish which was Chicken Tikka Masala and I asked her what it came with and the price and then she said “I don’t know the prices. You have to look online.” Then she said, “Can you call back in 5 minutes. I’m very busy” like ME THE CUSTOMER who is trying to place an order is bothering her. Omg I will never order from them. Very very rude and unprofessional.
First visit. Food is good. Portion of food served is larger than most restaurants that are serving the same.Restaurant has their own parking lot which is great as the restaurant is located in a very busy part of Staten Island.
This place was amazing before the new owners!!! It was sold and now service is horrible! The people at the counter run around totally confused, while everyone waits for their orders hopeful that it's right! The Uber eats driver canceled his order because they were taking to long! Everyone here has an attitude! Food is ok if u get the right stuff.. never going back!
Amazing food ! If you are ever in the area and want some great authentic Indian food this is your place ! This place has recently had a new owner, Terrence Rashinda, he has done such an amazing job with the new menu and transition. Service is amazing food is 100% go check it out. You won’t be sorry you did !
Had a wonderful lunch here. We started with a masala dosa, which was simply delicious. It came with 3 chutneys that were all tasty. After that we had the mutton chettinadu and the bindhi masala. So good! The service was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning and trying some other dishes.
