Came here for the 5 stars and to see what's all the fuss about Sals of Smithtown. I ordered a vodka chicken cutlet hero with fresh mozz. It took 45 minutes to make when I was told 25. That's not the worse part. They give it cold as anything and the fresh mozz isn't even throughly cooked. I never really write reviews but that's not cool.. they didn't even have garlic knots made??? What kind of Pizzeria doesn't even have knots?? Definitely a big let down ?

First time being there. Alone with five kids. The staff is so nice! My husband has an exterminating company and I’ve met a lot of restaurant employees. The way they all treated us was awesome. Their plain slice was so good. My kids were obsessed with their garlic knots and the salad I had was very good. I definitely recommend this place!!! Thank you staff at sals for being so accommodating to us and kind.

Issue 1- This place is listed on door dash but apparently they don't honor door dash and instead of letting the customer know, they cancel orders without explanation.Issue 2- after cancelling said order with no notice... I call back to place the order with the intention of picking it up.. turns out they didn't even have the pizza we wanted.Sooooooo... order placed on door dash- cancelled without letting us know. And the pizza wanted- was out. My takeaway from this... Sal's Of Smithtown is really bad at customer service and communication. What do I know... only have 25 years of customer service under my belt...But carry on Sal.Edited 3/23/22- to the Owners who responded to my friend before me... Don't start lying now. No one was cursed out, the restaurant was called over a recorded line, plus there was an office full of folks who heard the convo... no one was cussed out. Try again.2nd Edit 3/23/22- reporting and/or deleting reviews you don't like- doesn't make you look better. Put your big boy underwear on and handle it like a full grown business.

The owner is VERY RUDE to his customers and yelled and screamed at me and my son and used profanity language towards my son while he was waiting to pick up a garlic knot pie . He told him to get the F_ _ _ out of his store and your not getting your pizza of which I paid for already ! If you like to deal with a rude owner then go there , there are way too many pizza places around to go to and be treated with respect !!

I have been living on Long Island my entire life and have tried many different pizza places throughout the Island. And I can officially say that Sals of Smithtown has to take the clear number one spot! The owner and all of the employees we’re very well mannered and the entire vibe in the pizzeria was very exciting. The pizza was phenomenal and the options that he had like the garlic knot sliders are something I have never seen anywhere else. The menu is huge with many different options and I’m definitely going to come back out to Smithtown for some more good food!

Great review from my family and I, I think we just found our pizza spot! Keep up the good work and we’ll keep on coming!!! The flavor is amazing, perfectly well done, there’s a nice crisp A1

This 1st time experience at this place started ok. I arrived and the pizza looked pretty good (I was not greeted). I ended up getting a Buffalo slice. I left and began eating while driving because I came on a 30min lunch break and my job was 7 min away one way so it took me 30 min total time to get there, order and return. About 5 min and into my 4th bite I got something hard and it was a HUGE bone. I also noticed the pizza smelled like lamb and I could finish my lunch, I had to throw it out. I gave 2 stars because I was unable to give the store a chance to address this due to time. In regards to the slice itself it mostly was very spicy so there wasn’t any flavor to enjoy. I have a pretty high spice tolerance and this slice had my entire mouth burning. The portion was bigger then most places but I couldn’t take more then 1 bite after I got that bone. A bone in your pizza is simply unacceptable. I went here for the 5 stars on google and had the worst experience ever. The short Italian looking guy who helped me also looked mad or upset just not joy at all but he was polite and wished me well as I paid. I did feel uncomfortable while waiting to order just from the Ora this guy gave off. Never going back again.

I grew up on Long island, and worked in NYC. Had pizza every where inbetween. With out any doubt, not even close does anybody make a better slice than Sal in my opinion. Not even just one type, Best sicilian I ever had, and my favorite the best buffalo chicken pizza I ever had hands down. No small slices either.Had Sal cater my wife's big Birthday party with various trays. Not just a few but an overwhelming amount of people came up to me and asked where the food was from it was so delicious and amazing. People even said it was better than some big wedding venues they have been to. I agree to that. This is not a fake review, I am a real genuine customer who independently wrote this on my own, and I don't even normally write reviews. I just felt so strongly about this place because it is just that good that it deserves a great review. Sal and staff are always friendly and polite when I walk in, they even remember my name and ask how I'm doing. I love that about a real small business. This place is a true gem.

Wow..Best pizza in LI! The cheese, sauce and fresh dough are on point! However, wish the cheese would stay on the pizza instead of falling off when u lift the slice out the box!
