Very friendly staff and very tasty bagels
Nice, friendly staff, clean facility. The bagels need a little work, they were skinny & powdery tasting.
I ordered online to pick up and my service dropped so I called back. The same gentleman answered and was very nice and patient, took my order and I forgot to ask for salt, pepper and ketchup on my egg sandwich and he kindly asked if I wanted to add it so kudos for the attention to detail. I arrived and parking is sufficient and it’s right off the main road so it’s easy to access. The Chinese lady greeted me at the counter and was genuinely nice and warm toned and asked if I was there for pick up. My breakfast was ready and she rung me up for $6 and offered me a free coffee which I declined. They sue take debit with a $5 minimum and they use a modern payment device so no pin is needed if you don’t mind that and paying is instant so no waiting on that end either, I was in and out in less then 3 min. The place had a decent amount of seating and was very clean and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. This place is a winner and sets the bar high for the other establishments in the area. I ordered an everything bagel with 2 fried eggs, sausage and pepper jack cheese (my only critique would be that they did put a very thin slice of cheese I would have liked to taste more of it) and it was delicious. Thanks again Bagel Express I will be back!!**** I wanted to mention I did NOT get napkins so not a big deal most places throw a few in the bag so I have been spoiled, just a note to management ****
7/21/21 - I went in with my girlfriend, ordered a bagel with cream cheese and jelly, they charge me $3.99 and I received a bagel with almost no cream cheese and the jelly was all over the place, I had to go to the bathroom and wash my hands due to the jelly nastiness and then demand a refund for this horrendous bagel. The more concerning issue, was the fact that I saw a bald man working there, who was peeling potatoes in the back with no gloves on also while eating and drinking. Then I see the same bald man come to the front, to cook eggs for a customer - again with no gloves on. That is beyond unsanitary and I believe violates NYS health codes. I rather starve then ever come back to this vile place!!

I've ordered from here a couple of times (giving them the benefit of doubt each time). Every time they put my order in as a custom order. Their prices are completely different from their online menu and half the time they don't even know what their menu items are. I ordered a Fajita salad as per their menu and the guy on the phone had no clue what I was talking about and asked me to read the ingredients off the menu for him. They can't give you an exact price over the phone because they don't have one. They just add up random numbers and tell you they'll call you back with the amount later. Completely unprofessional and terrible business. Would absolutely not recommend even if the food is decent.
Every time I go in there with my wife, the prices are different. The woman puts everything into the register as a custom item so she can make up an arbitrary price. When I questioned it, she redid the order and magically the total came out lower. Food is good, service and honesty are questionable at best.
My husband and I come here quite often and order the same thing. For the last 8+ months, every time we ordered it would be a different price. Today was the tipping point when it came to over $17 for 2 bagels with spread and 2 Snapple’s. We called out the clerk and said there was no way it was that much. She redid the order and it was $1 less. We asked for a receipt and everything was logged as a “custom order”. We said you’re just making up prices and it sad because we’re repeat customers. Not anymore.Since the change in owners, the quality of this place has gone down over the last year+.
Truly don’t know how anyone could rate this place under 5 stars. Sparkling clean & kind workers. First of all if the price is what the problem is- you get what you pay for. The food is quality and cooked to perfection. My husband and I ordered egg sandwiches here and they were literally the best (with no exaggeration) the absolute best bagels we have ever had on the island or anywhere else. Over the course of my life living on the island I have tried countless bagel stores and this place is just top notch. Will never go anywhere else again. Bravo bagel express.
