We used to eat at Dave's when he was in Albany and finally took the drive to try his new Schenectady location. Dave treats all customers like family, which is welcoming after a hard day. The food did not taste how we remembered but was still very tasty. With 3 fry options we opted for the old goodie - black fries. They are scary but delicious. A must try. We both ordered his famous Juicy Lucy. One with Chefs Touch. The restaurant itself is cozy. Only 2 tables and a nice diner bar. Well worth the drive or the stop in if in the area. An added bonus is near by charging stations. We look forward to visiting again!
Dave’s Gourmet Burgers is a great and welcoming spot that I would recommend to anyone who is hungry. The young lady who handles waitressing is friendly and was great at explaining the menu and making sure we had what we needed. Dave is a passionate cook whose heart is in the food ?? the Philly Cheese Steak I had was so delicious it could’ve made me cry ??‼️❤️ Dave remembered my step dad from years ago and I can’t wait to come back when I visit NY again to see the man himself ? it’s an experience bigger than the food and we appreciate you Dave ?Absolute 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Captain’s Juicy Lucy is absolutely fabulous! I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing menu, terrific food, and friendly staff. Plus homemade desserts.
I loved the burger, as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very nice man who turned out to be Dave the owner of the restaurant, he is by far the most enthusiastic chef I have ever had, and his food met that enthusiasm with a cherry on top, by far the best burger joint in the capital region, and oh my god, the fries are a different level of good. Thank you for the experience Dave.

Owner/Chef is a great guy and takes great pride in the food he is preparing for you. I have tried his burgers, gyros, and some of his vegetarian options. All have been well worth their price tag. Adding the "chefs touch" option is worth the up charge. Be prepared to use a fork or have a few extra napkins. Its become my new favorite place to grab food.
Dave is a master in the kitchen. I'm picky on where I go for burgers but I don't have to think twice with Dave's. Amazing food at a decent price. Highly recommend giving it a try.
The food was amazing! The service was fast and friendly and the owners are very nice.
Burger is amazingly juicy and flavorful. Always love it! I got a big oreo cupcake that was super moist and yummy. Their desserts are always great. Fries and mozzerella sticks were super spicy though. Couldn't finish them because of the spice. Normally not bad but really strong today. Definitely love this place especially now they deliver.
